I have run out of words for Lucy and her music. There are three words that are often used to describe a talent like Lucy, one is prodigy, or gifted and lastly natural. Lucy combines those descriptions, but elevates them to something else. Whenever I hear Lucy playing, it is like Lucy not only plays the music, but becomes the music. It truly is magical listening to Lucy play. Her mother obviously knew there was something special in Lucy, with her love for music. It must have been difficult for Lucy's mum to find the right tutor for Lucy. What this remarkable gentleman has been for Lucy in helping Lucy, is beyond beautiful. My humble thanks to Lucy, your mum and to your tutor. ❤

Makes me cry (for joy) and for the great talent she has. I am also a pianist and love the music of Debussy above all along with Scriabin. So pleased to have come across her videos now. I'll keep tabs on all her work now. Wonder if she has composed? Blessings!
It's so true what Daniel is saying--for Lucy music isn't a simple hobby or even a passion. This is how she communicates with the world and expresses herself, her feelings, her thoughts, and her emotions. This is also why with proper technical training she will probably rank as one of the greatest pianists of all time. I'm pretty sure that what she does cannot be done by neurotypical people.
So pleased I found this Video, as yesterday I left a comment under another video, after having watched The incredible Lucy film, where you were working with another student with the same dedication you have for Lucy. I hope you will read my comment there too. I completely agree with the comment made below. You are a shining light for all of us to truly honour and cherish the self agency and gifts in another human being. It's such a pleasure to hear you speak with so much eloquence and pleasure about Lucy. And of course Lucy's beautiful playing, her music brimming with so much aliveness and vitality.
Lucy is so inspiring. She shows that people who are neurodivergent and have extra challenges like being blind, still have amazing potential. They just need to be given the right environment and opportunities.
