  • A huge number of armored vehicles and tanks are abandoned in the world. Battlefields, training grounds, abandoned military bases preserve these steel monsters. Nobody needs them, except for fanatics 😊 like us. But nothing is stored forever and someday these witnesses of war battles will disappear forever.

This gives off a feeling, like the tanks are saying (4:36) "Our duty is done, and now we will rest for eternity." Really peaceful and sad vibe. If I stumbled upon one of these like at 4:30, I'd feel happy because I know that the world is doing it's own thing and these old relics are forgotten, but I'm still here, one of the last "keepers" of these abandoned tanks, and eventually I will die, and the tide will swallow up these monuments to how times change.

There are islands in the Pacific with a huge collection of abandoned American and Japanese tanks sitting in the jungles or in the surf off the beaches where they were knocked out by enemy fire. What gets me is that the US military felt it was easier to leave behind working tanks on some of the islands instead of shipping them back to the US or to someplace else to be used elsewhere. The islanders have no need for tanks and have allowed the jungle to grow around these Sherman and Stewart tanks. Hopefully someone will recover some for a museum or a WW2 display.

Old Soviet tanks that are found under swamps and mud, are like that because they tried to cross over during winter usually. They broke through the ice, and the crew had to bail lest drown.
Another possibility is them getting bogged down and sink in the swamps during spring.

Had no idea of any location. The T62 for sure. The T34 was a surprise though. Thanks for sharing.

Последние кадры - это с Голанских высот, там полно штугов, т-4, т - 34-85, есть там же пара Центурионов. но..ходить опасно и можно подорваться на мине с тех времён.
