I've recently discovered this Stabat Mater for the exam of music history, just wow that's heartwarming and so well played, chapeau!
How fortunate we are to be able to access and listen to such beautiful music.I sincerely thank TH-cam for making this possible, including the performers. One of the great benefits of living in this age of technological advancement. A blessing indeed.
To add to my earlier comment. In this performance I feel doubly bless by the quality of the soloists, and would love to know who they are,
+alphin antony cj thank you for your nice comment
@@Suedtirolinconcert I agree with alphin
I am so sorry I got YoiTube on my 72
What a lovely discovery on this Easter Saturday in Africa in the midst of this worldwide crises. Technology has rescued our sanity. Thank the Lord for our brains.
Südtirol in concert: Absolut wunderschön.
Musik vom feinsten, großes Kompliment an alle 👍👍👍

Thank you!
formidabile interpretazione
Prachtig!
Extra bellissima: "Vidit suum" (23:43), Eja Mate (29:14) - which emulates "Pergolesi in its melodic traits, rhythmic quirks, and thin texture; 51:10 XI. Flammis orci ne succendar (Bass) 51:24 in the key Johann Christian Bach. The premiere probably took place on Good Friday 1768 (?). The first public performance in Vienna under the direction of the composer is recorded in 1771. In 1803, Haydn had the Stabat Mater arranged for a revival by his student Sigismund von Neukomm. Under Haydn's supervision, this added "increased instrumentation": the orchestra of the original version was joined by a flute, two clarinets, two bassoons, two horns, two trumpets and timpani, as well as three trombones as choir reinforcement.
I came upon this concert and I'm so glad I did! Every instrumentalist, soloist, choir member, just beautiful! I am curious as to the reason everyone is bundled up? It appears to be in doors but I could be wrong. Anyway, thank you for this gift! From another conductor :)
Thank you for your comment. The reason was the rather cold temperature in the cathedral
I've had those experiences in my life. Congratulations again on an exquisite performance! @@Suedtirolinconcert

What a wonderful presentation by Haydn! In fact there 10 Composers who wrote Stabat Matar. The first being Palestrina around 1590. Dvorak being the 10th.
There are a lot more: at least 30. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stabat_Mater
Vivaldis Stabat Mater is really good imo
@@rubeng9092 Never knew it. Will check it out. Thanks info.
