I discovered Tom Waits from this song, used as soundrack in a modern rendtion of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure in a theatre of my city. That was more than 10 years ago and it's still one of my favourite song. And I'm grateful to whom chose this song for making me discover this artist!
I don't know why this song takes me back to 1860's London, as I have never been to London nor the 1860's. I don't know how to explain it- somewhere between a memory and a feeling.
@Scott o Pretty good. I recently moved to New Smyrna Beach and had to leave my good friend Rob in his home in Louisiana. But, It was necessary, as my recent divorce from my wife of 13 years left me needing to go back to my roots. Therefore I am in Florida visiting with my family and starting life again.
