There’s no stopping you with that fly rod now George !!!! I’ve course literally Thousands of carp But never ever caught one on a fly !! Saying that I’ve never caught any fish on the fly 🤣🤣🤣 just amazing buddy and well done you !!! Hope all is well with you and the family 👍🏽😀
Thanks Paul, I really enjoyed it too. Very different and very fun! And yeah the North west has some great fishing in general, can be tricky at times to find it though!
What a way to catch your 1st ever carp! I have carp fished all my life.but never had one on the fly. I do intend to snag one on the fly this Yr though.
Awesome! Since I have got into fly fishing I have become obsessed with trying to catch anything possible on the fly. Going to try for carp soon on my local pit (I might get some strange looks!) and then try for some pike up in the lakes. Also keen to try for sea bass. Next challenge a barble on a dog biscuit fly!
Thanks John! That all sounds like great fun. I think pike are next on my to do list closely followed by bass (may need to start catching them on lures first though!) I'd never think thaty barbel on the fly is even an option 😂 has it been done before?
I would love to target anything that might take a bread flake fly in my local canal on UL spinning gear. Although I'm not sure how I would get the weight to cast them without presenting them too deep subsurface. I'm guessing the bread flake flies are fished on the surface like a dry fly
Hi just seen your video, I live in Leeds and most coarse fisheries around here don’t like people using a fly rod to catch carp. Can you please tell me whereabouts the fishery is did you get special permission or is normally permitted to fish with a fly rod ? Enjoyed the video and your enthusiasm 👍
Hi mate, this is a friends spot he took me here so im not exactly sure on the rules. I know a lot of places won’t mention it on their websites but if you ring and talk to them on the phone when it’s quiet they might let you
Amazing mate, glad I've found your channel. I've recently started a channel fly fishing for carp but I have no content creation experience. Your video looks great is there any advice you could give me please? Big love from Birmingham. Tight lines mate
@AdventureFishingUK I DO! All the time, like 4 or 5 times a week lol. Its the most amazing buzz on this tackle. I've fished for over 40 years but this is on another level for excitement and adrenaline. I've dropped a sub and will get through your other vids ASAP 👍
@@adventurefishinguk I bet! We need to get you in morecambe. stone jetty, tide under 8.5 meters 2 hours up 2 down, fresh peeler crab on a pulley pennel rig Wack it out to the right and you’ve got chance of a smooth hound up to 20 odd pound 👌🏻
@@Ukpredatorfishing if you’re keeping an eye on it mate give us a message when an opportunity arises. Think I’ve got you on Facebook, would be so up for that
Not sure sorry mate, borrowed this of the guy I was with! They were turning away from these too, I think the key is to get them feeding as aggressively as possible and competing with each other over it
@@trcarver99 they’re excellent for lures and sea fishing stuff mate you won’t find better. Fly fishing on the other hand I don’t think they’ve got any of that in. There’s an actual fly fishing shop in morecambe too, I’ve never been but I think it’s called troutflies

Carp on the fly is great fun. Well done
Thanks mate! Definitely a different fight to a trout, they like to use their weight to their advantage. Great fun
Never fished for carp like that myself.looks wild.will have to try it

Sea bass are brilliant fun on the fly and I’ve heard of barbel being caught on weighted imitation bread , amie fly fishing is the one for it
Nice video it’s something I getting into more doing my videos for my TH-cam channel 🎣
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
Great video! Going to have to treat myself to that rigged and ready rod and catch on the fly 🎣
Thanks Craig! You should, it’ll definitely be worth the wait 👍 I can’t wait to get my hands on the finished version

They are fished like a dry fly yes. Maybe a bubble float?
lol, the best thing ive seen in ages, wonder if my 390fa will let me fly fish with it down the local lake??

Looks like foxhouses in Scorton, Lancashire?
Nice video bro. I was wondering if you had a recipe for that fly. It looks like a white gurgler to me.
Thanks mate! Not sure what kind of fly it is to be honest my friend lent me it

Yeah it can be mate! Lots of phone calls required
Fantastic! Was that up here or in Essex? On my "to do" list, next how about getting one on an insect imitation?! Tight lines 👍
Up round our neck of the woods mate! I might try next on a squirmy worm, not sure if I’ll have any success though

You should try pike on the flies so much fun.

Yeah they put up a great fight on a fly rod don’t they!
Yes brilliant and if they’re feeding it’s easy sport. I’d recommend heavier hooks as they straighten easily.
Ace 👍🏻

let the carp take out all the slack line. Get him on the reel. Much more exciting. 🙂
