    Fireboy did this for the culture...for naija and Africa as a whole. And it couldn't have been someone else.
    I've been a fan for years, so I'm not surprised he's first to bring Afrobeat up here. And he did it so well. That was quite electrifying.
    This is just the beginning bro. 🔥

      Wow LOL. Such bitterness
      Well, Left to u what is original to u is inferior to the rest of the world. And that's where Nigeria stands out, because we will work hard and make the world accept our sht because we naturally fell entitled to that global slice at the top. Which means u will forever never understand why we are on top of Africa in many things and constantly expanding our influence. 🤣🤣

      @@ugoawa3171 Bitterness? All you all do is throw rocks then hide your hands and gaslight. YOU can throw shade, yet when I throw it back I'm bitter? What influence though? Because Afrobeats AND Afrobeat would NOT exist without your people mimicking Black American genres like Soul, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Hip-hop, and R&B. That's a fact. Show me a globally popular Nigerian musical genre that wasn't created by mimicking Black Americans... I'll wait

    We’ve been asking BET since 2016 to let afrobeats star to perform and they ignore us for years … now that afrobeats is popular they are choosing to embrasse us . By the way other white bigger awards have embraced afrobeats superstars to perform on their shows before the blackest tv in america has done it . Bet should be ashamed of themselves and I hope next year they even go further than this .

    • @lan92034
      @lan92034 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All you people do is complain. OF COURSE BET awards is going to wait until Afrobeats is POPULAR for them to celebrate it. Do you know how award shows work? They ONLY celebrate musicians that have become POPULAR, WELL-KNOWN, and supported. Same for Grammys, Oscars, EVERY award show. Let me know any Oscar award that has been given to a movie that was not POPULAR. Your dusty logic is flawed because all you people do is complain about Black Americans. Black Americans can't even give you a TASTE of support without you then complaining about it. Yuck.
