Well, actually, we could add up two and two and kiiiiiinda get what actually happened here. I do believe this is some kind of a cross-arcade machine world. We do know that there exists a game where these three are characters and we saw a lot of arcade machines in this episode. And notice how Elon is not a bat this time. So she either managed to change back or this is not the Elon this exact Narah knows but rather another one from another arcade machine(universe). The same probably goes for Beth - she realised this Gideon is not her Gideon. That does raise a question though. What this Gideon was doing in the cage(jail)?
If anything, this episode just confirms a lot of things for me. I don't know why the beginning has all of the 1999 old computer stuff, but it confirms the setting of Virginia in the company's tagline at 1:01 (which we already knew), and I guess you could say that it confirms that that face is the Skinwalker (the face after person ran the skinwalk program on party country). The next scene with Gideon and Bethany seems like it's a metaphor for Beth going off and killing herself, but since Beth is possessed by the Skinwalker in that scene, it makes me think that in the real world Beth may have been possessed when she did it. The next scene with Naarah is maybe her breaking out of her fantasies and seeing her mother or something like that (I have no clue honestly). After that, it's just Elon and Naarah talking, and then Naarah finally breaks free by leaving Elon. Elon is saying that she got "every last one of them" because she managed to trap Beth in a cage, like she had done with all of the other transformed people in the attic (the one we see in Banana). However, since Gideon is also in a large cage it's kind of unclear to me whether or not he's included. The cut in clips are of Elon and Naarah's other (possessed) bodies being talked through by the Skinwalker. I don't know why though. Then in the final clip, Elon is in the attic with Bethany and all of the other creatures, presumably to do some ritual. What I think though, is that what's been happening has something to do with collecting souls because of what Naarah said in Catghost 8 before she was cut off by Elon lying ("we were collecting souls for-").
Whoa, that _was_ a killer breakdown. But regardless, I do hope Nick wraps up his series on CatGhost when CG wraps. He did an ep on the Daisy Brown finale so it's likely he'll do one on CatGhost's finale too. And it'll be interesting to compare and contrast his thoughts too.

They're both TH-cam horror series that are affiliated with gaming in some way, and Catghost began only 3 months after Petscop They both have a reputation of weird upload schedules. This episode shows someone using, what is most likely dial up internet. Petscop is an old PlayStation game. Both of these were popular in the 80s and 90s. You don't think....no....no they can't be.....but what if.....no....but it's been done before....are they....in the same universe?
