👩🏫 Director of Student Affairs, Theresa:
AEI welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, including Taipei American School, Taipei European School, and other prestigious international schools. We serve students from G1-G12.
As course advisors, we tailor our guidance to each student's individual needs. During our initial consultation with parents, we discuss the student's school, grade level, and academic background. Each school has a unique curriculum, so understanding their specific context is crucial.
For elementary and middle school students, our focus is on improving their academic English. We track their progress through quizzes and assignments, providing regular feedback to parents. We also schedule parent meetings to discuss any concerns or support needed.
For high school students, we take a more strategic approach, especially as GPA becomes crucial after ninth grade. We identify their course load and help them navigate challenging subjects like physics and chemistry. Many high school students prepare for the SAT and AP exams, so we maintain close communication to ensure their success.
Our goal is to support students in reaching their academic aspirations. We assist high school students preparing for the SAT and AP exams and guide them towards their desired college, including Ivy League institutions.
