भिन्न एक वह संख्या है जो पूर्ण के एक भाग को निरूपित करता है।
इसमें हर यह बताता है कि पूर्ण को कितने बराबर भागों में विभाजित किया गया है तथा अंश यह दर्शाता है कि इसमें से कितने भाग लिए गए है।
जैसकी इसकी परिभाषा से ही पता चलता है कि किसी एक पूर्ण को मतलब 1 को बराबर-बराबर कुछ भागों मैं बाट कर उसका कुछ भाग दिखाया जाता है।

A fraction is a number that represents a part of a whole.
In this, the denominator tells how many equal parts the whole has been divided into and the numerator shows how many parts have been taken from it.
