That's what I posted first--but it got blocked by Paramount. EDIT: I mean blocked (in America) by NBC Universal. For those not in America: th-cam.com/video/DNnTdB51d2M/w-d-xo.html
Hello. I"m totally blind so have one question if I may. Why is the audience laughing in parts of Lily's song? is something funny happening that I do not see? thanks so much for anay help.
@@SugarburnDregsThank you so much; I did think it was rather strange that the laughing occurred during the song. My friends and I, all of whom are totally blind, love the Munsters but it can be tough at times.
Made me tear up 💜
This was her voice.....so epic. I'd love to see the actual video of this scene!

It's a traditional American folk song from the Civil War. The tune can be heard in the movie "How the West was Won".
Such a beautiful moment between the Munsters! Thank you for this, I’ve had this song stuck in my head!

At the parts with the laughing, the camera shows close-ups of Herman and Grandpa in tears at Lily's performance. :)

Those were those stupid unnecessary mechanical laugh tracks, yes quite annoying.
It was about her man going to the civil war
Much older than that, Early American folk song, but perfect fit for those same emotions.
