I had considered it this year, but got derailed by a broken clavicle and birth of my first grandchild. Definitely going to train for next years version, however I'll be aiming for surviving. 😉

Thanks man, I put allot of time in this video and this is a big compliment! You are a fellow youtuber so you know the struggle! To be honest I was not very happy with my effort, I didn't feel like I had the legs that day. But maybe because of that I had more time to enjoy my surroundings. Yes maybe we will cross paths again some day in the future, would be cool!

I really appreciate your image handling and the way you tell story and I appreciate even more that you didn't use the so called "exotic oriental Asian music" in your video because we really don't sound like that and we never wanted to listen to that kind of music, which many other videos about Taiwan KOM have in the vlogs. Having said that, I rode this year but i wasn't strong enough to keep up with the front so I really enjoy all youtubers' report on this event. Chapeau!
Thank you for your comment! I have never thought about it in that way, but I guess your right. With music you can set a vibe and if you're in Asia, you want to set an asian vibe with music that we think sounds asian!

@@BrunoBobbink Bruno Bobbink thx for the feedback. I totally understand the image Asia has for foreigners and I didn't mean to say it's wrong or bad . It's just that it sounds so …50 years ago and I'm even intrigued by how they can find the music like that. It's really interesting for me. For example the video : vimeo.com/306794292
I think it's a good one too on the event but for me the music is too Asia to be true. It's like watching a Discovery documentary on Asia haha.

I believe it was close to where you said you were up 2500 meters. I was also in the group with Paulina for a while. I think you and I were very close to the top.
Great effort & vlog Bruno. Looks like you did it without stopping also especially a great effect for a man from the very low land of the Netherlands I'm waiting for Jasper's next instalment of the KOM but it's going to have to be good to beat yours
Yes, you should not stop when you climb a mountain! And it is not a battle who has the best video, only Jasper has a whole different story. I had bad legs and was suffering, Jasper had good legs and was flying. So I can't wait to see his video and his story!

how much recording time does your GoPro hold? Didn't you think about attaching a power bank to it?
I dont record the whole race, just parts of it. Sometimes 1 minute sometimes 5 minutes at a time.
