This drama ends with an endgame to all the couples. Let's claim it, 'cause I can't afford to watch 'em breaking. 🥺
So far, the twists and turns have kept me hooked into watching this. I love Yang Mi and William Chan. I haven’t lost hope that the writers have changed the ending and did not stick with the original story in the book. The mere fact everyone is reacting means that the cast and the whole team did a good job. But yes, I wish there would be more “romantic interactions” between Haishi and her Shifu like those in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Legend of Fuyao.
I wished Haishi stay with Youdu😢 He really loves her would never do that to her...

And that plenty of recaps and reviews have already been written so I can emotionally prepare myself. But here I am, after finishing episode 32 watching previews. Dang it! My heart still hurts but this drama makes you want more. It somehow brings out the masochist in us 😂

Appalling story, and I am done watching this narrative that explains away abuse of women. Haichi should have cut her ties with her classically controlling and abusive Sifu , who never loved her but viewed and positioned her as a tool, and used a carrot and a stick approach to manger her loyalty. As her foster brother said more than once Master was 'too cruel' to Haichi. As for the spoiled capricious Emperor, who tantrums at the drop of a hat and blames others when his only poor behaviour creates disasters. A pity she missed out on killing him. She should have waited until he fell asleep on the wedding night and gutted him with her sword.

Honestly I do not understand him. What is the use of his sacrifice when Haishi is not happy with any of his arrangements. This one sided decision in dramas is very tiring to watch. There is no romance and is getting boring. The emperor role is psychic. He just gives stupid edicts. What is director even thinking with this drama.
I heard the novel from where it was adapted from, has a crazier plot.
I am dissapointed because I am a Very big fan of William chen and yang mi and seeing them in this drama is making me very sad. William chen is good in Romance nad action and neither of this is exploited here.
