Just started looking for handheld CB radios... currently using Kenwood NX series radios for GMRS and MURS, but would like a handheld for the Jeep in case others are still using CB.
I wish the President handheld units had CTCSS and DCS capabilities. I bought the Wouxun CB HT for this feature, but I really like the President radios. I just have no use for them if they don’t have CTCSS and DCS.
President still hasn't added CTCSS/DCS tones to this portable. Forget about it... I'll go with the QYT-58. It DOES have those. And you also have the option of "AA" cells/rechargeable battery as well.
Who wants the FeeCee printed on their radio? It's like buying an AR with gAyTF printed on the side. 😂 I'll stick with the Thunderpole and QYT hand helds.

REALLY ??? you guys work for Buy Two Way Radios ???? the radio comes with a mobile hook up... meaning you take a magnetic antenna, stick it on the roof of your vehicle and screw the end onto the President mobile hook-up... like all the other handheld CB's as for powering it... you plug it into the cigarette lighter and it powers the unit and actually gives you a little more output watts and it also charges it.... you guys are confused by this????? my dog knows more about handheld CBs than you guys.
I have the Randy II, been a great HT! It’s been everywhere, and works great! I also got a telescopic antenna for it, and really improved the range.
I hooked mine to a 1x2 in the mobile and its a beast.
Id love it if they could come out with ssb handheld.

Same here. The Euro Randy's have CTCSS/DCS... The little Wouxun has the "PL" tones. So does the QYT 58

Well I bought the Randy 2, about $120 and a remote mike, great car portable but an expensive investment and worth it!
I'm looking for a decently priced am/fm CB radio... This just might be the one I get.
