Same motor out the zo6 just with a cross plane crank, took a page out of fords playbook with the gt350 and gt500

I kinda figured they'd go cross plane for the ZR-1. Flat plane engines and forced induction isn't a reliable combination. There's too much vibration in a flat crank.
They really need to change the appearance of this car and I don’t mean just a waterfall hood. The ERay copied the Z06’s appearance 100%. 😮
The ZR1 is going to be outrageously expensive.
It needs to be different and distinguishable.
It seems like Chevy is doing the same with the GT3 and GT2. The GT3 is higher revving N.A. and the GT2 is a turbocharged engine with more power and torque.
Now the unaffordable American sports car.

I remember a video about
5 months ago of a guy riding next to a ZR1 at about 50 mph going slightly uphill and the damn car was totally silent, so I think you might be onto something
I think its LT2 not the LT6...but Vette could be messing with the ZR1 sound track to purposely disguise.
If LT6 and twin turbs...way more than 800 HP. The aftermarket LT2 with SC or twin turbs hit the 800-900 mark
I'm thinking cross plane just for reliability. Built LSX motors with cross plane cranks can still rev 9k+ in racing. So there's still hope for it being high revving.
I’m thinking this Corvette will hit 230 mph. It will be extremely fast for sure. Definitely want to get one at msrp. I’m thinking horsepower is into the 900 range
Sounds like the cross-plane; as you said lower rpm (at shifts) and more guttural sound. They are probably saving the flat-plane twin turbo for the "Zora".
I think ZR1 is going to be TT flat plane, Zora being TT flat plane with hybrid assist.
TT cross plane crank. Maybe Zora will hit what you desire.
The zr1 will be the highest model.
