Buddy, this makes a big difference! TOTS usually does a great job overall, but their hairlines were always a little nitpick of mine 😂 Never thought it was that simple to fix this! I'm not a rehauler by any means, but a collector. I'm gonna apply your tip to my own and I'm already excited to see how it turns out! Very cool and thank you for sharing! 😀
Awesome mask! I just literally ordered one from Nightmare Toys a few minutes ago and then I found your review. This version looks a whole lot better than the previous version,I think it really captures the H2 look. I can’t wait to get it in the mail and I am going to fix the hairline on it like you showed and I need to do the same to my TOTS H1 78 Mask. Thanks so much for posting
Was debating on what Myers mask I was gonna go with first but after this video I made up my mind Definitely purchasing this one. Then I'll go with part 4 mask just because it gets so much hate makes me like it even more
Thanks man! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃Your videos are so awesome and helpful. I just ordered this mask just now from Nightmare Toys and they have a Halloween Sale now $8.99 off of it and got it for a total of $51 and they have free shipping!
Thanks for the video. I’m making a Ben Tramer. Should I use one of these as a base or the ToTS Ben Tramer as a base? The sculpt on this one actually looks more accurate.
Matte clear coat spray can. You mist it, a little at a time until you’re satisfied but if you do too much, whether all at once or over time, it will crack like spray paint and flake off. So just go easy with it.
The mask was more yellow in the second movie because the person who had the mask the 4 years between h1 and h2 was a heavy smoker. This mask for sure dose look a little better. I do think it’s too shinny and yellow
Some clear matte finish will kill the shine. I plan on doing that at some point. The sculpt is definitely an improvement over the previous one. I dig it.
Not true! She claimed it was in a shoe box underneath the bed! Smoke rises and if smoke damages carpets even being a heavy smoker it was in a box so nobody really knows what happened to the mask but it’s beautiful
@@thatmetalguy7746 Wrong again sadly. Nick Castle had the mask above his fireplace for years, Debra Hill (the apparent box-keeper/smoker) asked if she can use it for the sequel since it was hard to replicate. Nick agreed under the condition that it would be returned. Nick never saw it again. The mask was used for the film, the two backups from the original film were used as well, for the blood-tears shot (the one Jamie Lee Curtis wore in the behind the scenes photo of the 78 film, with her in the red sweater) and for the burning scene, which destroyed both. The third stunt mask from the original film went missing after shooting wrapped on the first movie. Dick Warlock (H2 Actor) possessed the 78 or “hero” mask up until 1996, when he sold it to a haunted house attraction owner. Who now has it in a very tight/dark place in his personal residence. He refuses to get it properly restored unfortunately, no picture has surfaced of it since 2018, so nobody can fathom the amount of rot it’s most likely experiencing.
A lot of people keep saying how the V2 is a massive improvement. The sculpt is but the paint ruins it for me. It's tan with darker tan weathering. How can anyone with a straight face says it's better then the v1 is beyond me. I want to like it but it screams rehaul me.
Well, in my opinion the sculpt outweighs the paint job by a country mile. The paint app isn't as jarring in person, and it has kind of grown on me. Definitely not my first choice for color. So I completely get what you are saying there. It's an odd choice, but I'm not mad at it. It's absolutely prime realestate for rehauling. I think it will be a top H2 option after a solid rehaul. The changes made to the sculpt just overrides everything else for me. But I absolutely get where you are coming from.
Oh yeah it's just how you decide to lay it. You're only bringing it about a half an inch forward so you still have plenty to work with to style it to your liking
@@MichaelRiddictHorror dude, thank you for that info, im about to order one and try and rehaul it lol, the hair that comes with this mask is alot better than most by tots
This is different than the H2 deluxe. It will be listed as it's own thing on TOTS website under H2 Version 2. It's a retool of that sculpt. Both masks are being produced. A small batch of these masks made it to small independent shops, but the big production run will be in January 2023.
They both are pretty bad but at least they try. The new versions eye cuts are bad . Neither look movie accurate though. I have redone the original tots 2 mask with a repaint and rehair and it still looks off. If i see this one cheap i would get it.
I don’t think there bad at all for a main stream Halloween 2 mask!! And especially for the price this version is definitely worth it and captures enough of the movie to satisfy me and I’m sure plenty of others. I’m still waiting to buy this but I think with the hair line fix and a nice repaint this is the best Halloween 2 mask you can get out there and make better on your own rather than paying a fat amount of $ for a custom one. Like I said just fix the hair line and give it a nice repaint and I think anyone will have a very nice accurate Halloween 2 mask that’ll complete anyone Halloween collection.
Way better, as far as the shiny look I kinda like it because I remember that shine as he walked in the hospital under those lights

Glad it is helping you out! I'm not a rehaul guy either, but I do have some tricks up my sleeve 🍻

Way better than the original 2 mask released!

Id love to see it rehauled

Oh nice! Can't beat that!
I dig this mask.
P.S. I did the same trick with my 2018 mask's hair line. Huge improvement. The only difference was I used E6000
Yeah such a simple thing that just makes a world of difference.
Great video and the new H2 mask looks way better and I bet with a decent rehaul paint job it'd look amazing. I'm a new subscriber ❤️
Thank you for the sub! It definitely would be next level with a proper rehaul
Awesome video man. I should try the hairline trick with mine.

wow they went a little crazy with the gloss lol😂
Your voice would be amazing for documentary voice overs
Thanks, I've been told this everywhere I go. It must be a sign lol.
WORLD TOUR PART 2 FIRST STOP
How big is the v2 my head is right at 24inches
Just ordered one, they are running out of them.
How did you shape the back of your hair it looked great
Can you do the tots 1978 mask hairline fix
How can you get rid of the shine?

Great mask!
awesome
Still doesn’t look right to me. TOTS just can’t get the Part II right for some reason.
It’s the chin and jaw. It looks like a gorilla wearing it
If you look at the original '75 Kirk, the side profile on the original is much more correct.
Michael thanks you for the hair do.. it was bothering him. lol

after doing this to the hairline, is there a way to make it more poofy up top? Like that classic pomp look

How big is the mask
Around 24.5". It's only slightly smaller than the old H2 mask. Bigger than the 2018 and Kills mask, and about the same size as the Ends mask.
Is it it’s own thing on the tots website or is it still the h2 deluxe mask?
This is different than the H2 deluxe. It will be listed as it's own thing on TOTS website under H2 Version 2.

What are those platforms called that the masks are mounted on?
Actually they are simple paper towel holders from the dollar store. I stuff the masks with plastic bags and put them on the stands.
what’s the size like on this mask?
Smaller than their original H2, but bigger than the Halloween 2018.
Where’d you get the liquid latex?
Spirit Halloween Store. I've had this particular bottle for a few years now. It goes a long way.
True, true, thanks man.
Tool glossy. Looks like it's got a coat of lacquer on it.
Good job with that hairline fix. Mask looks way too yellow and shiny though. Maybe the lighting.

they’re not actually. with some work and effort put into them, they can look pretty great!! especially for main stream halloween 2 masks.
they did somehing to it because it aint looking like that no more
Why does it look wet?
They went overboard with the clear coat
I'm trying to black wash it look as dirty and gringy as possible
I don't understand why TOTS is making such an ugly hairline on that beautiful mask. They must be blind!
Yeah I’m not at all impressed with these myers masks. Good sculpt but definitely rushed n poorly finished
Will the party city liquid latex work?
Yep any liquid latex should work fine
Great! Thank you! Do u have a FB or IG you pist your stuff on or where I can contact u with some questions about tbis? Gonna do my 78 today!
@@visualpr3cision Cool! All the info is in the description of every video.
