so amazing that Travis was board riding Supercross and followed his DREAM of being an entainer. He's one of the Greatest Ever and I don't know if there is anyone who has brought more spectators to Motorcross? Thx T!
He is the best freestyler of all time and Ricky is the best racer of all time imo
Travis sure likes to live his life to his fullest and that is grand. But I think his ageing body today, with all the past injuries, is starting to punish him. But not many people live their life to their fullest, so, maybe it is worth it to people who do. I think it might be myself. :)
The early 2000's was the best
@Boxing 101
Faster than Stewart and Villopoto?
This actuall race was my first supercross I went to. Was 10 years old so cool to watch this all these years later.
Thanks for posting ...that was as fun to watch today as when I watched it in 2002.
Its amazing that Travis was already the best in freestyle and still could ride like that
It’s amazing how this is almost vintage.
loved the raw riding from those days
17:50 Travis Pastrana joking about throwing a double backflip. Crazy.
braaap! That will always be the most exciting time for the sport. The 4 stroke have never been hypnotizing like the 2 stroke . Still to this day In my mind when I think of mx I hear 2- 4 gear shread to hell then hear it popping, slicing and dicing over the whoops . When the 4 stroke comes to mind I think damn that sucks.
Best SX tracks in history in this era ...so technical!
damn man that was a hit, legs run over and the bike slammed down on him major respect for these guys, taking hits like that and still getting back up and having that passion to ride man i love it👍
Thanks this is the most fun I have had being stuck at home waiting out the King Flu to blow over.
Regardless of where ever Travis finished we all loved him👍The guy is just a hoot.
Pastrana was so good.If he could of only stayed on two wheels or at least one
Ricky back than would tell you when the interview was done 😂
Little did Pastrana know at 18:00. That would actually go on to do a double back flip.
Not just A double backflip, but THE FIRST double backflip in competition. And it was only 4 years after that interview!
That’s foreshadowing
Great stuff but I always wanted to hear the 2 stokes a little more. Sometimes you hear them but it’s not enough. It’s way better when you can hear them for sure!
Man I wish I could have grown up in the 90s even though the early 2000s was very similar
The tracks were so much better back then. Today's tracks keep everybody the same speed, and that ain't racing.
Vuillemin sure was smooth, used his height to advantage. But RC was just unstoppable.
48:34 for goosebumps 👍🏼
Emig and Ricky shootin the shit was hilarious
That 02 Yamaha was so damn good!
Golden years of mx
They need to just rebuild all these tracks now modern tracks are bland.
Thank you for post this
32:06 still the most important part of the race
Racing like this was so much more enjoyable to watch dont get me wrong everyone still loves it but itll never be as good as when it was a field of 2 strokes
It's amazing how many legends that Mike LaRacco battled and even beat. He deserves to be considered a legend as well. He reeled in RC during the first race. How many people have that accomplishment on their racing resume? (ps. the tracks were much more fun to watch with the higher technical degree & lower speeds) and for an out of control Pastrana to end his racing season by jumping right on him then later blaming LaRacco is ridiculous.
Reeled in Carmichael who had a broken hand...
Someone bring back those vibes already. For fucks' sake.
In Costa Rica we followed Ernesto Fonseca's career very closely until he unfortunately suffered an accident in 2006.
Fortunately, he has been able to cope with his conditions with a lot of positivism.
50:13 nice to see Nacen Rang getting a shout out
Thanks Man ! You Rock!
Since there’s no full race replays unless I’m not looking good enough lol. Thank god for the bar to bar series I even put this on my Christmas list a few years ago. Lol. Also at 38:37 I love that #24 is like I’ll just sit here and watch.
vuillemins like the villain in a movie everyone hates
Oh my God when the announcer said" With Ricky's visor to the side he's going to look like a snail the rest of the race" I friggen lost it laughing so hard. No worries, he's the Goat!
This could have been Larocco's year.
... people don't remember villemun or laracco....
true, and he was the bad boy of Supercross loved his style too...
@@apartida123
People do remember Vuillemin and Larocco.
Travis said double backflip for his first win wtf man that's insane
He was already thinkin about it
Mike larocco looks like he just got out of prison
Where's Bar to Bar years 2015. 2016, 2017. Someone should put them together
14:28, great block pass
i kinda really do want to meet mr ricky carmichael
9000 sheets of plywood to protect the field!
This would be really cool if the audio wasn't horribly out of sync.
Poor Jeremy. If he only knew that his problem was the Bud Light sponsorship. 😅
Who's dressing Carmichael, Nick Canon?
25:16 22 years later and bud light just FAFO
Emig is hammered
It’s funny hearing pastrania joke about flipping
Young RC quietly mentioning Pastrana's annoying fans without saying so 😂
RC@28:18 lol.....how does he stay up.? Wow!
Hi 👋
19:11 Your caps lock is on hah. tRAVIS pASTRANA
Emig and RC in the pits - LOL
Anybody here 2024?
I think McGrath would have won more races and had a shot at the title this year if it wasn't for his back issues, RC wasn't as good on the Honda this year as the previous and MC was incredibly fast well before the season started at US Open before he had the back issue.
Rc didnt have his suspension set right and couldnt keep pace with these guys. He was riding over is head. He said he shoulda waiitng one more year.
Marty Smith you are.
If you race it's mandatory to see a chiropractor it least 3 times a week. To keep your body in alignment , not only to for good body position on the bike.
Hey hey looking for B2B 2003. Cannot find it anywhere.
Wow this sport has come a long way... I cant believe they had dudes, wearing all their clothes, hold the 30 sec board.
I guess it wasn't meant for RC to make it 14 in a row, but nobody will ever beat MCs rookie of the year coming in and beatin the hole field race after race.
the kx250 looks the best out of the bikes ? ?
The real days of moto racing great tracks and riders with personalities tbh I haven’t even followed new motocross just a bunch of lil unknown kids and stretchy tights for gear nowadays.
Carmichael had No competition until bubba came
Vuillemin was a very very solid contender in 2002, too bad he hurt himself and couldn't fight fairly
@@wiTeaX2587 yea I enjoyed watching him too
42:34 Does Carmichael voodoo hex dude or what?!
Oh he had...
Mcgrath and Reed!
11:30 -- 👀 🤷♂️ racism
James hates chicken wings 😂. Ps don't be daft you soppy sod.
@10:00 RealTalk447- the early years
Never seen such a awkward interview than that Emig and Carmichael one. After the kinda racist joke Emig tossed out there, Ricky was out 😂 Another reason why he is the 🐐
That fan looks pissed at Emig when he says the fans have to wait but i've got my pass
The sound does not match the video,---at all, like 2 different recordings.
Hmmm. Works now. Maybe a glitch.
RC wouldn't have anything for the MC of the early 90s. 125 yes 250 supercross no.
2nd race Davey saying the championship might be loroccos lol way to early to call pal
Jeremy McGrath always makes an excuse when he knew he rode like a boob.
🎉
I did that from 15'. Hit head on. On the street. My helmet broke off by the time I hit the center of the street. 20 broken bones. 3 months in a coma. Worst part....my wife was on the back. I wont get into what she went thru.
Cellphone. Dont ride on the road
for tp's size he was pretty fast
Max Howse one of the coolest things about this sport is, size doesn’t matter!
@@rah_84 actually the taller you are, the more control you have over the bike... think about. im 6'1 with boots and I would hate to ben any shorter. bikes big enough as it is.
marko starr that may be true but all I’m saying is it doesn’t mean that you can’t be successful at riding if you’re shorter: RV, RC, CR, JS, CW not super tall. Shorter people just adjust their techniques.
Larocco was the best
RC just mist Mcgraths 13 in a row record.
4 strokes just suck.
up
You deserved it. Run into another man's bike. You got what you deserve
This year was when everyone evolved except for Jeremy Mg. It wasnt arm pump, well it was because this year the bikes got really powerful and JMcgrath was not known for having strong forarms. The power of the bike was overwhelming for his fairly thin frame. It gave him big problems.
Awkward convo between Ricky and Emig there.
7:21 kick starting sucks so much Lusk would rather lose an arm than let go off the clutch
David Bailey was the biggest crybaby announcer ever ..... he was horrible to listen to
Ricky hated travis cause he knew he could.beat him. Viewed him as a part timer.Ricky was racing for paycheck early retirement
Now lets get back to reality. By this time, nobody in the world could beat RC for a championship. Travis could compete for a few laps, (Travis was one of the few who could match the speed of RC, but not for a entire race), and it was Travis who quit racing to do freestyle,---not RC, who went on to race 21 different pro series's and retire with over a 83% WIN average. RC picked up the pace every time he was challenged, which includes Jeremy McGrath, Chad Reed, James Stewart. Once RC won one big bike championship, nobody else really ever challenged him for a championship. 10.5 years racing pro, (one SX series missed with a hurt knee in 2004), is not a early retirement in this sport. That is reality. I don't know if RC hatred Pastrana, (would have no reason to), and I have no reason to believe that is reality either.
Work on figuring out reality on your own, (with everything), or your life will be a mess because of decisions made outside of reality. :)
These radio-voice type announcers SUCK! Get a retired professional to do this.
Jay Winters David Bailey is a retired pro, you dumb ass. And Art Eckman is a hell of a better announcer than Sheheen.
@@codyolmsted1265 lol
I really hope this is a joke
Roncada doesn’t get enough credit dude was hanging with all these guys and then few years later gave Stew all he could handle at Vegas and Hangtown
🎉
