- Today is Pancham Da's 70th birth anniversary. In commemoration, here's a video where SP Balasubramaniam (with Chitra) sings Aaja Meri Jaan. He narrates his experience while recording this song for Panchamda. Baluji ends the song with the lines "....aaja, if possible Mr RD Burman, come back to us I say, hey ajaa ajaa."
This is the title song from the movie Aaja Meri Jaan.

I listen this song yesterday on x factor india and went crazy about it. who can compose batter than R D Burman. man u rocks always....U will be in our heart always.. such a great personality.
Telugu,Tamil,Kannada songs - SP Bala literally ruled in post 1970's,1980's and 1990's...Hindi he had cameo appearances....Voice modulation, clarity in rendition are his biggest assets.....Brisk singer and he can sing any damn song any day.....May god bless him with long life

There can't ever be a better musical experience than this and the energy it creates when we hear this rare gem of a composition by two music stalwarts RDB and SPB but never did ( you can check other you tube recordings ) they receive any standing ovation for this or the kinda energy one gets from music lovers when performing live.. that's really sad!!

All politics Sir, He Deserves Bharath Ratna, Just for singing in Kannada, but he sang for Tamil also, and Telgu offcourse...not just singing he is the only Singer in South for 5 Decades but with no much awards...shame on govt and Us not giving him his Dues....💐
