      African Movements ...I want to move there as well. I’m about to retire here in America. I will eventually open a business there, and a church ( actually, a Temple ). I know no one there, so I pretty much will have to deal with embassy, right? In hopes that I would meet someone who speaks English and would like to teach me Swahili.

    Finally, lol. Been waiting for this. Beautiful house. So inspired. Hmm, 800 bucks for 6 months, yet I'm in a one bedroom for $1200 per month? We are nothing but consumers and robots here in America.

    • @OnyiiBazz

      nadoop before you begin to compare the cost of housing between the two countries, don't forget to also compare the minimum wage.

    • @nadoop
      @nadoop 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Min wage in FL where I live is $8.25. Average 1 bedroom in my area is $800-900 bucks. In NJ where I grew up, the min wage is $8.60, and the average 1 bedroom is about $1200. On top of that, food, fuel prices, utility is are expensive.

    • @OnyiiBazz
      @OnyiiBazz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      nadoop hmm. But then, in some African countries, min wage can be as low as $1 or even less.

    • @nadoop
      @nadoop 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Sure, but if you are an expat, you should be fine. I am speaking from an expat point of view. And still America has a high rate of homelessness due to the rise in housing cost - something that is not prominent in the so-called third world.

    • @DevonahBlackwellT.I.
      @DevonahBlackwellT.I. 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Not if you work online or teach English like a lot of expats do. Digital nomads or being able to work online is the wave of the future I think. And they are always looking for native English speakers, especially in SE Asia and places like China where they pay decent money. If you are a certified teacher you make even more and there are many more opportunities, and the cost of living is WAY cheaper. And there is also the opportunity to start your own businesses, like import/export overseas. Like the Sistah said, you are nothing but debt slaves in the US..paying over $20k per man, woman & child to Israel and for military spending to bomb God knows who else next. The planet is huge and there are all kinds of interesting experiences awaiting. People just have to stop being so scary. Life is for the living.

The bathrooms here are the same, built with tile, and everything gets wet when you shower. When I first moved here, I thought it was strange. But, it makes it really easy to clean. Good luck on your job search. If you have even an AA degree, you could leave the country too and teach English as a 2nd language. It's in S. Korea though, but it's a government sponsored program where they recruit native English speakers to teach in public schools. It's called EPIK, I think. If you have a BA, you can pretty much go anywhere in SE Asia and make a decent living...b/c the cost of living is so much cheaper than the US. You also need to get an ESL Certification but you can get one of those (over 120 hours) for cheap on GroupOn so I've read. So people who are really interested in leaving the States, it is not some pipe dream or impossibility. You can even attend distance courses or online courses with accredited US universities while overseas. I'm doing it now.

    I used to think I wanted an ocean view, but now I can even imagine having a green view. My apartment in Kenya costed the same and had those ceilings, but there was no flooring, no fridge or hot water. But the water used to get heated later on in the day since the tank was on the roof. 😄 The difference in Kenya is that you pay one month rent, one month deposit. The furniture is so nice as well. You should feature the dad on the vlog, what a talent! Lovely home! 😍😍

    Zora is absolutely gorgeous and certainly a happy baby. Nothing but well wishes from us in the the West and good luck in your new life. Prof. Lumumba made me want to visit some day but you make me want to move to Tanzania now.

    Black soap and shear butter are west African thing. The shear trees grow only in west Africa. Ghana and the rest.

      Alana Weaver Then how come they don't produced shear butter? You can educate yourself on by watching how shear butter is produced. Ghana, Burkina, Mali, Togo, and the rest of the west African sub-region. These are the areas on the continent where the shear trees grow. East Africa has different vegetation. Are u American?

      You're wrong. Shea butter is also made from East Africa. Shea trees grow very well in some parts East Africa. You should know that almost every crop that grows in West Africa can grow in East Africa. The soil in East Africa is very fertile compared to West Africa. Cocoa, palm trees, plantain...are grown in East Africa. In fact no country/region grows more banana/plantain in the world than Uganda/East Africa, except India.

    The last video you did three years ago sitting the chair in the garden is the last one I saw until this past week. That video is responsible for me loving Tanzania, but ancestral connection is pulling me to Ghana. How do I fix that? Come to Tanzania until I could get to Ghana. Lol, you had no husband and child and now look at you. You are blessed! That sweet Zora is so beautiful.

    Peace Queen ! Thank you for sharing your life in TZ. I’m truly enjoying it. I hope to visit in the future. I have a question about birth culture there in TZ. I’m a doula/birthworker and Very curious. How was your birth experience ? Would you be so kind to do a video on this?
