ive been looking for FIX this issue ALL over the net and my issue is PS cc 2018 runs as administrator but then i cant "drag n drop " photo files(jpeg,png,bmp....)
it runs fine on other drives but on my C: (which is ssd and i need to install it there) is not working !!
i tried regedit
SLStore
privilege setting (taking ownership) ....
NO FIX yet

CERBREUS TECHNOLOGIES i have both . The standalone version works fine on partition drives and i even can drag n drop photos ! (I used ps for over 17yrs and never had this issue)
There is. Something happened to my c: that i cant run ps without admin run !

The Possible fix is to set the "Program" permissions for you/Administrator and run the Explorer.exe as a administrator too. Because the Photoshop you run as a Administrator and Explorer.exe which is not, cannot Interact with each other (Drag and Drop). Update me

the Explorer is read only so i cant change anything through Properties...it wont allow u to change ANY permision just run as admin which is useless.i want to be able to run PS "Without" admin so i can drag n drop like always...without run as admin its giving me error 16 !

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK: Change "C"drive's Ownership to Admin, Then the Explorer.exe's to Admin... ("FROM TRUSTED INSTALLER TO XXXXXX/Administrator"). Hope it'll work now I guess.

it work, but in my computer to run the photoshop cs6 must be "run as administrator", if i run the photoshop cs6 with double click it doesn't work.. for me itself it doesn't matter

Make sure it is compatible to your windows, you'll see option once u done a proper run test troubleshooting.

it might be the registry try resetting your photoshop registry. if else reinstalling is the only way

not working but i fixed the error 16 problem by right clicking the photoshop cs6 file -> properties -> uncheck the "read-only" and"hidden"
