Too bad they bury him on his first day by making him lose to spears. Spears is the one guy on the roster I just immediately associate with a loss when I see him so to see him beat someone else they are pretty much buried.
My reason for complaining is, when there is a match between an AEW wrestler and an independent wrestler, then it is too obvious who will win. That makes it boring. But I will still watch the Dark shows, because AEW is really great and maybe there is a wrestler who can impress Tony Khan and Cody and gets a contract (and I wanna see the moments where they impressed with their performances).
Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler's ongoing quest for their first win is honestly the best ongoing, longrunning story! From rivals to relcutant teammates to actually pretty cohesive unit to Cutler doing that crazy dive to save Bates! Im here for it. Hope they get their first win on a big platform.
Last couple of episodes have sucked. No new storylines or advancements to established ones. No standout matches or performers either. So many aew debuts but they are just jobbers getting squashed. Jobbers should get a chance to shine but not in aew.

Mohammed Al-Shabibi dude lee Johnson and every single jobber is winless. Hes like 0-13 at this point. This company is fuckimg stupid rn, NJPW and PWG are the only wrestling companies imo that book must see/competitive matchups similar to the UFC. PWG does mega matches like hangman adam page vs Keith Lee where as a match like that in AEW, fans would be like “oh save that for a ppv!” “You need a long term storyline” etc etc making up lame excuses for awesome matches to not happen. Fucking UFC just gave fans Masvidal vs Usman, a massive main event! If i was booking Dark, the main events would be matches like Cage vs Brodie Lee, Darby Allin Vs Scorpio Sky etc, not predictable af squash matches. They could still give those indy guys some time to shiny by having matches with each other on Dark, getting some W’s before getting squashed by main talent on there, that way we think they might have a chance to begin with, AEW wants to turn their shit into 80’s squash match wrestling and saving the actual good wrestling for PPVS instead of delivering every show.

Pillman Jr is great, really like everything he has going on. Also, "Black Glove" Spears is absolutely great. I hope he gets a fued on Dynamite soon, I'm loving the new intensity and character work. Really great stuff.
No point in even discussing it now that jr was forced to job to a guy who has lost almost every match since joining aew, that has a horrible theme song, an awkward personality and someone who everyone already kind of views as a jobber.

They make me crack up every single week. Their chemistry is so great. Excalibur knows when to let taz go and get over himself instead of challenging him. But also jokes with him and isnt afraid to exchange jabs. They both are fountains of knowledge when it comes to pro wrestling and are just down right likeable
They definitely play off each other well, but Taz really cracks me up. Every time Brandon Cutler comes out and rolls the die, I think about Taz referring to it as a gimmick ball and it makes me laugh.

Swoal has really stepped up her ring presentation and does a lot of the little things now that distinguishs her from the good to the great. She's really improved her art. Really looking forward to see what she does in the future. Probably one of the best when it comes to improvement since their debut. Great Job Swoal!
I agree that Big Swole has improved since she first started, but she can still get better. Where she still needs work is in selling moves better, but that will come in time. And having a proper feud helps. I feel like she has really taken off since being super hyped in the crowd at Double or Nothing. I'm really loving her feud with Britt Baker.
I'm a big Jim Cornette fan, I listen to both his podcasts, but he's sour on AEW, I would have thought he'd be on board with it especially with WWE's garbage product. Its the hot alternative. Hopefully Jim comes around.

This was their most cohesive match I've seen them in together. I think they'll either square up against each other at a PPV, or they'll somehow surprise whomever holds the tag belts and get their first win that way. Either way, really digging the story with these two.
The fact that Orange Cassidy is still wearing the blood stained shirt from weeks ago shows how well this character is portrayed. He was just too lazy to even wash it.
Cutler and Avalon have actually become one of my favorite Tag Teams in AEW. I always look forward to their matches. Very entertaining and somehow endearing. I love the nerd references. Goes to show you that those who play the role of jobbers can and should be very fun and interesting parts of the show as well.

It was awesome to see Brian Pillman Jr on AEW Dark. He is a very talented wrestler and reminds me a lot of his Dad who was one of the best light heavyweights ever.
I hope he'll get a chance to do some character work in AEW. Also I was seriously worrying for his arm when Kaz started to focus it. He was saying really appalling things about his arm injury.
@James he dislocated his shoulder at the beginning of big tour in Japan, it was keep falling out of its socket so he had to fix it without any qualified medical help for several weeks while not being able to sleep at all because of pain. He had to insist to go see a doctor which promotion hesitated to do, but after several hours of waiting (which was considered short since he had some privileges due to being popular in Japan) he didn't get any actual help from the shitty doctor except for some painkillers he quickly exhausted since other wrestlers were taking them. After the tour ended he asked for time off to actually heal which promotion didn't like so they basically blacklisted him after that out of spite.
Pillman Jr wrestling style (although much more modernized) closely and strongly resembles his dad's wrestling style. I like it. He's gonna be something special!
Excalibur and Taz are amazing as a commentary pair, my favorite pair of all programs regardless of promotion. Legit the Pathfinder line by Excalibur and Taz responded with "I'm more of a Rav 4 guy, myself" is pure gold. I literally died from laughter. I would like to take this time to formally invite Cutler, Excalibur, Leva Batts, and Taz to play an online one shot for you all, Avalon not so much.

Maybe its just me, but I would like to see a jobber vs. jobber match once in awhile. 1, they'd be the most unpredictable match on the card and 2, some of these regulars deserve a win.
So .. no ones gonna talk about how hard they're pushing OC right now? And in a believable way. The big guy underestimating him only to get hit with a superman knockout punch was awesome . OC vs Le Champion will be MOTY for sure!
One of my favorite things about AEW Dark is that I can no nothing about almost everyone competing but watch anyone and you instantly become a fan of some of the lesser known wrestlers. I never miss an episode of Dark and I’m always 100% invested.

I hope he'll get a chance to do some character work in AEW. Also I was seriously worrying for his arm when Kaz started to focus it. He was saying really appalling things about his arm injury.
@James he dislocated his shoulder at the beginning of big tour in Japan, it was keep falling out of its socket so he had to fix it without any qualified medical help for several weeks while not being able to sleep at all because of pain. He had to insist to go see a doctor which promotion hesitated to do, but after several hours of waiting (which was considered short since he had some privileges due to being popular in Japan) he didn't get any actual help from the shitty doctor except for some painkillers he quickly exhausted since other wrestlers were taking them. After the tour ended he asked for time off to actually heal which promotion didn't like so they basically blacklisted him after that out of spite.

Pillman Jr wrestling style (although much more modernized) closely and strongly resembles his dad's wrestling style. I like it. He's gonna be something special!
Excalibur and Taz are amazing as a commentary pair, my favorite pair of all programs regardless of promotion. Legit the Pathfinder line by Excalibur and Taz responded with "I'm more of a Rav 4 guy, myself" is pure gold. I literally died from laughter. I would like to take this time to formally invite Cutler, Excalibur, Leva Batts, and Taz to play an online one shot for you all, Avalon not so much.

Maybe its just me, but I would like to see a jobber vs. jobber match once in awhile. 1, they'd be the most unpredictable match on the card and 2, some of these regulars deserve a win.

Seeing Nakazawa win matches against jobbers that deserve wins more than he does really annoys me.
One of my favorite things about AEW Dark is that I can no nothing about almost everyone competing but watch anyone and you instantly become a fan of some of the lesser known wrestlers. I never miss an episode of Dark and I’m always 100% invested.
