I think if you want to look up that sort of lamp again try lucite lamp , they were mostly mid century the lucite normally is still clear which makes me think the one you were looking at was a later plastic one that would crack with heat , great video as always
I did a boot sale today. Selling at boot sales now is a thoroughly depressing experience. 30 years ago when they were first popular, people wanted everything for £1. Unfortunately inflation has rocketed and people have never got out of that mind set. They just don't see the value in anything. In future I'll just donate it to charity. Buyers attitudes will eventually kill off car boot sales for good.
100% we as resellers, especially of clothes adapt a mindset, if you’d pay it in a charity shop then get it. When it comes to items you’d never find in a charity shop, specialist items, electronics I know people pay a hell of a lot more. It’s a dependent I guess. Down I Somerset where we normally are, carboots merge with flea markets and become a lot more expensive, as expected. So it can sometimes become location dependent too. There are so many variables!
