I just heard Ms, Mahan on my station here in rural Kentucky, USA. Wow! It was "They Can't Take that Away from Me"-- and her "Rhapsody" here is just as good as that recording was. Are these her own arrangements?
Kate just performed Rhapsody in Blue with the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra in Golden, Colorado, her home town. It was fabulous!! The Jefferson Symphony is the oldest orchestra in Colorado(and the best). The JSO added the dimension that Gershwin planned.

I can't fault her performance, but I feel that it really needs the other instruments.
