    Fabulous review! Just got my first 500 and 6th LS last March, in love and in Matador Red Mica! Being ceramic coated now, can't wait. 19,000 perfect miles and flying.

    Wow. I've loved the new shape but that appearance package really pops. Only needs a small spoiler. Can't wait to see the production version of the SUV.
    Great review!

    I'm curious to see how this engine holds up in 10 to 15 years.

      My guess? It’s a Lexus, so it’ll still be running!

    Please keep geeking out on steering, driving experience etc. It's your differentiator vs other channels. Would love to hear you go even deeper for certain cars like expanding on thoughts on steering on bumps, on edge of adhesion, road texture etc. Cowl height and visibility is another thing cars got worse at (Camaro is the worst) and are gradually getting better (Model 3 is excellent, new Civic is supposed to be good). Loved your comment on how fast it feels, unless you are racing subjective is more important. Lots of fast cars don't feel quick these days due to insulation and solid structure. The relationship of the controls you call out is also fantastic. Carry on and double down please!

    So sad to see the V8 gone. This vehicle lost claim to being flagship with that change. The flagship is now Lx 570 you reviewed or Lc500. If I want a sedan in this class I take the Genesis G90.

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This soooo needs a V8. It would be interesting to drive LS and G90 back to back.

    I think they missed an opportunity by not using the NA V8 from the LC500 in this car.

    God I love Lexus and will be a brand loyalist forever. The LS is way too big for me, but this car is phenomenal! Great review. (The passing bit at the end was awesome-sauce.) :-D

    For once I want to see a test of a luxury sedan that includes crawling through shitty traffic on a 95 degree day next to construction and road work while hitting the occasional pothole. If the tester doesn’t mind it, then it did it’s luxury car job. I could care less if a 5,000 pound car doesn’t corner well, I would hope it wouldn’t.

    *most likely the new Toyota Tundra will be getting a version of this 3.5 V6 turbo engine*

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure. I would love that in a 4Runner. Actually, I'd love the V8 from the LC 500 in the 4Runner, but that's a different story.

    Uh, the 2021 model year is the facelift. Most luxury car makers continually improve their products. Lexus is the one selling ancient vehicles like the IS, GX, LX, and RC.

    So lexus spends all the money making it smooth and quiet, then they pump in fake engine noise?

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nearly every car maker is doing this now. Quiet on the outside, sporty on the inside.

    • @toobalicious
      @toobalicious 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish they’d throw in an option to cancel said engine noise augmentation via the vehicle settings. Then, the customer could decide what they want.
