That woman’s tragic experience mirrors my ex wife’s experiences. She will carry the scars to her grave unless she is able to reach forgiveness. She is a survivor of abuse . I and our marriage are victims of her abuse at the hands of her father

My heart goes to you and your wife. I could not listen to past the first sentence. I have read the King James and the Catholic Bibles from the first page to the last, several times. I know killing is a sin. But, it does not say it is okay to kill a person who trespassed on your property. While an abortion is a sin. It is quite rich for a man to praise the end to the right to have access to abortion. He will not be taped and be sentenced to raising a rapist’s child or be denied the life saving procedure until she bleeds out or becomes septic. I wonder how he will feel if his niece or sister finds themselves in one of those situations.

Thank you for your homily, Fr. John. Like many children, I was physically and emotionally abused by a parent and then sexually abused by a relative. It helps to know who to turn to for real and lasting help.
