I don't think Classic made him non-binary, Reverend just never mentioned Rusty's gender. Blue Snowplow did make Rusty non-binary though. Also dang, James got demoted to his old livery after committing Grand Theft Coal. Definitely worse than trucks.
@@KevinCoplin Classic pretty much did. As TheUnluckyTug pointed out in his Season 4 retrospective, the Classic series never referred to Rusty using "He/Him" pronouns. They just said Rusty or "The Little Diesel." I think it's because they knew if they gave Rusty "She/Her" pronouns; The Rev W. Awdry (and Railway Series fans) would have lambasted the show for turning a character into a gender he wasn't. However, using "He/Him" would have triggered people who would go on about how Thomas and Friends has no girl Engines, and is therefore misogynistic. So, as a compromise, they just didn't refer to Rusty as his gender. Then Season 5 came along, and since fans seemed to assumed Rusty was a boy anyway; they just gave him back "He/Him" pronouns.
I still can't believe all the before scenes with Rheneas pay off in the end And Live and Learn kick in on the defeat of the Ghost Engine in an adaptation of Duncan Gets Spook, Trucks, and Steamroller that also an original story. This guy's is Cooking
Okay, it was awesome to see Proteus banish that ghost engine. It's nice to see one of those Things used by other Thomas Writers to haunt and kill engines in their stories get defeated by a "mystical engine" instead of them killing an engine or more, that is a cool change.
Oh no poor Duncan nothing like dying and bring brought back life..,poor guy also I laughed so hard at skarloey being thrown at them and them saying their final words to one another
What amazing adventure of the Skarloey engines its great to see Proteus, Lady and Rusty's ghost engine. So Proteus is Sir Handel brother so he has two brothers Proteus and Sir Haydn. And how James is painted black? I cant wait to see more stories.
Hi I sent a comment on one your videos today and I don't want to sound annoying. but in the video about smudger, what's the music you used where smudger is found still around in the shed annoyed at an owl
I know this is very minor but it really bugs me that Smudger's model is not accurate to his TV counterpart. Like would really be that hard to make a accurate model of Smudger. Again this is minor but it does bother me.
