Jeep JK 2010 I had problems with the battery dying and losing power while driving. I replaced the alternator the battery and the PCM $1200. Then after watching this video I took my alternator to a local shop and had them install an internal voltage regulator. I then disconnected the plug from the alternator to the PCM module and it has been charging perfectly and running like a dream since. Also through some really cold weather 5dg farenheit. Thanks for sharing this since my only other option would have been more expensive trial and error diagnostics or another pricey PCM module!!!
i am actually having the same issue. i brought my car to the dealer and they're telling me i have too many after market parts on the car and they can't fix it. what do you recommend i do in this case?
I thought it was the lights I installed at first but they all run on separate wiring to a different battery so I knew it had to be something else did some research and found that it’s a normal thing for the computer to malfunction so I had to get the alternator modified to have an internal regulator and that fixed it has been almost a year since that repair no issues

@josepha6123 no had an alternator shop put an internal regulator and my check engine light has not been a problem
I'm going through the same problem and I'm doing the same thing to the alternator right now ones it's installed I will give in up data
