Hey lovelies! A couple of points i missed... ***Dollar Tree crates are MINI crates. They can hold a descent amount of stuff, but if you need a lot of storage, you can always try these DIY's with full sized crates (just ask certain stores and most will donate what they don't use). I used 2 cans of Rustoleum's Rose Gold Metallic Spray paint. The hinges come 2 to a pack and are 97cents each. The spray paint gun is in your paint section at Walmart and is a little under $3. Hope you all found this helpful
At first I wasn't going to watch bc something in the thumbnail makes the top look crooked (and I thought thus unstable) but it looks great in the video! As always, I'm blown away with your creativity! Your channel gonna be huge!

Minako M my husband ended up anchoring it for me. It turned out well!! I went with blue crates. Mine were already blue so I didn't have to paint them or anything 💙
I loved this video. It was exactly what I needed. I made it a little smaller for my home daycare dress up area. Just waiting for glue to dry so I can paint, place on the doors, add something to anchor it to the wall and put up an mirror so they can look at themselves. Awe, that is a great idea for day care..every kid gets their own little locker and dollar tree has those cute wood cut outs or you could use those wooden puzzle animals that have a little peg on them as knobs. IKR , I'm adding everything up in my head as I'm watching and thinking about the money, time wasted, frustration, mess! That's not just the cost of a few "Dollar Store" crates.
If you calculate everything she got from the dollar store or walmart, I doubt she spent more than $70. While Ikea is inexpensive, I doubt that they have a closet system for $70 and you have to assemble everything (it's not hard, but it's probably harder to put Ikea furniture together than gluing and clamping.) I wouldn't use this DIY, just because it's not sturdy At the end of the day, it's plastic crates so you have to be quite careful of the weight capacity of the "closet" so I feel like this isn't truly useful for teenagers or adults.
That may be very true about 10.00 Ikea closet but then you have to pay for s&h plus waite for it to come in the mail. However as a crafter there is a certain joy you get from making useful things out of non traditional items. Yes it is plastic so you should be aware enough to know that this should be used to hold really heavy things but it still is useful and creative. No need to be negative about anyones ideas.

This is a really good idea. I don't need an extra closet space however I am wanting to make a dress up space for the kids. I plan on scaling it down and using something other than thumb tacks to make it safer. Awesome idea.
I actually made a craft holder crate set with bigger crates from Wal-Mart but my girlfriend and I used the same steps you did with the glue and spray painting it and it turned out perfect and was exactly what we needed to get all our crafts organized! Thanks for the idea! We would never have come up with it if we hadn't watched this! Also, I love your videos. Even if I don't do them they inspire other ones and I like that!

This is so awesome and Coat-Racks can be so flimsy! So that's what I'd use this for! It would also discourage laying things in the living room, tables and just cluttering. You can put stuff up in those cupboards! Nice touch with the doors from frames. Sooo great for guests too! My brother and his Fiancee lay their stuff all spread out on the table. This would help with that habit xP lol. Everyone wants to use that table for that... I gotta show this to my family and maybe we'll make one together! Thank you!
Each of your videos get better and better! I've always been a craft person, I got it from my mom And aunt. My aunt passed In August, and my mother this week...so now I feel is the time to keep myself busy and just go to town with your DIYs to redo my apartment.
