  • The inaugural Jamaica Athletics Invitational delivered world-class drama and performances. Nigerian hurdler Tobi Amusan set a world lead of 12.40s in the 100m hurdles, while Ivorian sprinter Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith blazed to 10.91s in the 100m, the 3rd fastest time this year. But the biggest shock came in the men's 200m where Brit Zharnel Hughes (19.96s) upstaged American stars Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman. Jamaican Rushell Clayton also set a world lead of 53.72s in the 400m hurdles.
