@@thefreebikes4kidschannel279 cheers mate. May do more of thease to clear down some parts and make space. Thought I would do one and see if you all wanted to more like this 👍
@Willdlans I was nice to use up some parts, mate. I have just so much from over the years 🤣 I am a bit of a horder when it comes to bike parts that are still good and have a use. Definitely might do a few more 👍
Bloody enjoyed that mate 👍. Considering it was a parts bin build I think it came out really nice. Definitely like to see you do more parts builds in the future. Cute cat as well 😺
Cheers, mate. It was nice to get through some parts. The cat is called pants, and she has a bad eye at the moment and has been to the vets, so she should be in the house. She has a sister called socks. Full black with white feet. Pants & socks and Molly the dog 🐕 👍 it's a bloody zoo in my house mate 🤣
@@BikeShedBoy Socks and Pants, I like it 😁. We’ve got two ginger cats, Coco & Indy, brothers, only 14 months old so in their teen years, they are right little scamps 😆. Hope Pants’ eye clears up soon 👍
@tazmo2237 mate, both my cats are 9 years old. I rescued them at less than a year old they had worms and so many problems. We got the sorted and had them ever since. They are totally stupid but are part of the family ❤️
@Tarmaccyclocross is definitely not bad to say it was just spares. I am going to pull a few more boxes out of storage and do a few more builds like this 👍
Love the beat-up bike. A good change from those beauties you usually work on. The screwdriver in the headset remover to spread the ends out? Great watching this one!
@hamadysack3157 Well, I have a lot of thease kinds of bikes to do, mate, so you will see more as the channel goes on 👍 100% a screwdriver to spread the headset remover out mate 🤣 think I am going to get a nice new one to be fair.
I'd tried to restore that Manitou Axel fork. I almost got one of those forks, offered on a local bike forum, but someone was faster than me and snagged it :-(.
@TeeLichtet cheers. Yea, most of the time, they are usually like that. This one looked like it went that way, so that's how I put it. I have never really thought about the difference. I will look into that now you have pointed that out. Cheers 👍
I wonder: what is this strange tool hanging on the wall for? It's the one to the left of the headtube reamer tool and to the right of the derailleur hanger adjuster and under the starnut tool. It looks like this letter: η It seems like something for a threaded 1-inch headset, but I am not sure.
@GrigoryRechistov 🤣 you are not the first person to ask, mate. It's an old parktool 3rd arm, so it goes down the seat tube, gripping the inside, and then it can be put into a stand. It's a great little tool if I am doing work on a frame that I don't have a seatpost for. 👍
@@BikeShedBoy A very weird thing indeed! I could see how it is useful if you do not have a spare seatpost with matching diameter to hold the bike in the stand. I am not surprised that this tool was not very popular in Park Tools' assortment.
@GrigoryRechistov it's not the greatest shape, and they replaced it with a much better version. Well, it was better as in the shape but it was made from a plastic composit so not in that way. The one I have is totally solid metal, but the shape is super odd 👌
I use Tesa adhesive fleece fabric cloth. Only tend to use on bikes. I don't get drenched as I don't want it holding in Warter. Never had any issues with it, even if it gets wet, though. Recently removed some from a frame I had it on after 4 years getting wet once cleaned, no signs of issues. Especially, no chain slap chips 👍
Love a parts bin special 😎
@@thefreebikes4kidschannel279 cheers mate. May do more of thease to clear down some parts and make space. Thought I would do one and see if you all wanted to more like this 👍
I really enjoyed it. Each and every part you used has already told a story of their own now they will have a new story to tell.

@BikeShedBoy I think people like the idea as they have those bits lying around in their own shed.
Might inspire a few builds mate!
@@thefreebikes4kidschannel279 hopefully mate and will definitely do a few more of them 👍
The first lot of cables you had up is what I am looking for, my Repco Ranger.
@Willdlans mate, I am 100% sure I got them off, so one on ebay super cheap 👍

@Willdlans cheers, mate 👍
tools look proper cool on the wall like that
Cheers, mate, it keeps changing as the home workshop grows 👍
Great videos mate 👍
Thankyou. I will be doing more like this, so keep an eye out 😎
Quality of the builds and the videos are top 👌🏻 keep going mate, loving the videos from an Englishman in Vancouver 🇨🇦
Thanks ever so much, mate. I really appreciated. Vancouver is on my bucket list to visit, I would absolutely love to turn some pedals or there 😎
I really like it, great build 👍

Gotta love the parts bin bikes.. #keepumontheroad regardless of the situation 😁👍🏻
100% and cheers, mate. Definitely may try and get in a few more before Christmas 👍
This just dropped so watching it now
Awesome. It's not the best looking but it's not really ment to be a show bike. Let me know what you think 👍
looks sharp.
Thank you, mate 👍

Not even a bad looking bike in the end that. Was that a clutchless rear mech and an 11/32 cassette with the single front chainring?
Yea is was mate 👌 11-32 cluchless. Well, we will see how this one rides 🤣 👍

I did not even want to restore this fork as too much rust, unfortunately. Otherwise, I would have, so it's been tossed 😂
Love them parts bin builds! Shouldn't the seat post clamp go on the other way round, so that the clamping force compresses slit part of the tube?

The bike would have probably run better if the forks weren't back to front!!!😂
Back to front 🤣 👍
