I absolutely love him as an actor and he plays Sam SO very well. Keir is the only actor I could imagine ever playing Sheldon for Big Bang Theory as well.

I watched this show from beginning to end and found NO reason people had a problem with the first season. People always want to complain about something! We should be glad there is a show on where autism is the storyline, rather than tearing it down. As a parent with an autistic teen, this show is heartwarming and spot on in dealing with autism, for Sam as well as the rest of the family. I love that Casey is always there for him and protects him, yet sometimes she gets tired of it too, which is exactly real life TRUE...💚💙💛
At the end when Keir Gilchrist (How is this name pronounced?) says: "...how many young people wait to get out there & prove they can do it." Does he mean young people that are on the autism spectrum who are waiting to get out there & prove they can act/become an actor/star in a film? (I'm on the spectrum myself & would imagine that it'd be very stressful to be on a film set. I saw a video once, and there were unbelieveably many people 'behind camera' working/standing around. You know, script supervisors, technicians, lighting guys and so on. I love to act & have always imitated everything & everyone; for fun, plus that's how I get by/survive more or less; & I'd love to try acting on a film set, but I'm concerned whether I'd hold out five minutes with all those people buzzing around.) Though it might be confusing and hard to first encounter the different people and staff around you it is something you have to train. For instance if your holding a verbal presentation at school and there is a lot of noise and people whispering and people coming in late and whatnot that's annoying right? I think we all could agree on that, but its about how you handle it and how you get past it. Personally i wouldn't go do acting due to me being very uncomfortable around those circumstances, also I'm not very interested in it so i guess that's a factor. Oh yeah almost forgot, I'm also on the spectrum!
There is a girl on season 3, who played an autistic student (Sidney) and she is actually in the spectrum. Her name is Tal Anderson. Yes, it's going to be hard, but hard is not impossible!

Not to mention, the country was founded by the British, and, the French...I do wonder if that is why people got a British vibe from him? Or is it his Celtic name?
