    I have the 3x21a & then bought the 3x21c bypassing the b & no need for the d as I too have the Convoy L8. The 3x21a is more a thrower @ lower lumens, and the 21x3c tends to be more flood w/higher lumens. I carry & use the 3x21c in low for most of the time & if needed I double click to TURBO & then back again with a double click to low! Great EDC. 🙂

    I ran a test on turbo and realized the temp is set at 35°C for when it starts to increase the output. The increase we're seeing halfway through the test isn't triggered by the temp, I'm not quite sure why it decides to start increasing there. The 35°C floor increase trigger is set too low and is why it stays at such a low level. My test ran at 41°C the entire time after the stepdown. I mentioned this to Simon and the next batch will be set at 45°C. Sustainable output at 19°C on my test was only 910 lumens, this is a poor result for such a large flashlight.

      Thank you for information! This is very helpful. I mostly use it in short bursts

    Do you find you have to lower the colour saturation for the indoor shots?

      Maybe a bit, but I try to not change anything apart from white balance.

    Thanks for the great review!
    So, the sustained output is about 1500 lumens for 2:30?

      It depends on ambient temperature, maybe even more

    Awesome throw! Great runtimes at that power level. Does it uses the new 28/54A driver?

    How is it charged? Do I have to buy a battery charger or can I plug it in to charge it?

    should hv measure the lumen with run graph, not so sure how much output by %

    • @FlashlightTech
      @FlashlightTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Graphs are made very inaccurate, that is why.

      @@FlashlightTech rough lumen measurement are still better than %

      @@valorant846 it all takes time. If one reviewer doesn't include something you like, then feel free to go elsewhere for that info. Making proper graphs can take a couple of hours.
