I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and I'm so glad I've never had a customer like that, but I've also never kept a person's car for a month which may be a factor.
I working on a 03 jetta diesel and it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for the injector pump 🤣 . The dealer sent me one but it was faulty so I'm waiting on another but its back order
I hydroplaned on the way to work and bounced off the barrier on the highway. I sent my vehicle to our local mechanic. I bought a cheap vehicle quickly for work so was in no rush to get my vehicle back. Craig had my vehicle for a couple of months. When he called me to come pick it up he started off by apologizing for keeping it so long. He ended up only charging me for the parts. He has in me a loyal customer for life. I tell everyone I know to send their vehicles to him.
You have to remember that he’s an ex-mechanic. He only used his friend’s shop to get the parts he needed but he never used the shop to fix the car. I’m sure he had to work out of his garage to make the repairs and in many cases garages do get cold. At his age I find it miraculous that he was able to get any work done by himself doing repairs in cold weather. Hopefully he’ll accept more side work during warmer seasons.
When a litigant is wrong, it amazes me how the complainant always says , when a judgment doesn't go their way ," I didn't get enough time to present alot of my evidence". Yeah, right... No... Wrong...

The power steering pump failed after a month and then had to be replaced. She chose not to pay and tried using that as excuse to continue withholding payment.
In her testimony she stated that she had called him and his friend but they didn't answer. When interviewed at the end she stated she did not have a contact for him.
"the power steering wasn't working" yet she somehow drove it for 20-30 minutes home instead of pulling over immediately after trying to make a turn. anyone that's driven a car with no working power steering knows that you don't drive a car with broken power steering
The wicked defendant needed a horse treatment,,, she was an absolute jerk to leave the man hanging, and the second shop (because of obvious and dubious smell of clannish oder, which i saw through it) in the case, put up the b.s before the Judge on a platter about the faulty part
The simple design of a shop is for it's customer service personal to up-sell as often as possible. The mechanics need work, the shop needs to pay bills, and the customer service rep gets commission on everything they talk a customer onto having done!
Defendant is lying. With no power steering there is no way she could drive the car on city streets. You might make it a little ways to get the car off the road but you can't drive with the pump not working.
Not sure if anyone commented on this before... There's a lady in a purple shirt behind the plaintiff. It almost looks like she has bunny ears or devil horns (it's actually the collar of the guy behind her). 🙃
