Hey guys , I absolutely love your channel. Can you please make a video on Rentenversicherung & and it's contributions ? How can we check it online & how can I withdraw it on retirement? Thanks in advance!!
Most of the world-wide tax literature is written in German. There might be two or three professor who understand every detail and every exception of the rules. E.g. there were tax exempt amounts for investments in container ships or Hollywood movies which are abolished nowadays. Tax declaration could be rocket science.
hi this is an old video maybe some information is changed now like kv is not mentioned in my salary can you please upload again the video, with new details?
The basic structure has not changed, but of course everyone’s payslip will look slightly different depending on contract benefits etc.. if you mean Krankenversicherung it has to be on your payslip if you are employed for more hours than a Minijob.
That's a very much informative video.. Thank you for sharing. I have a question ...The RV- Beitrag (Pension contribution) that i pay each month, am i supposed to get it back when i left my job ? ..And if yes, Is there any steps that i need to follow in order to get this money back after i resign from my job? or is there any other terms and conditions? Please let me know about this whenever possible for you. Thank you so much 😊
As an American this is so interesting!! 👍🏻 Is it common to retire on the social security / pensions? Or do many Germans have to save up a lot of money also? I’m not sure if it’s mentioned in another video.
Hey Leslie, due to the demographic change, the German pension scheme is no longer fully serving as the only means to live from. In German it is often referred to as the pension gap, which our generation will most likely encounter when going into pension. So for us it is super important to also save up/invest privately.
Awesome video, thank you so much for your help! This video helped me A LOT! I love your channel and the content you both do! I just received my first payment (started working in the middle of the month, not a full month yet), however I didn't saw any deductions for the KV (Health Insurance). Do you know any reasons about why is this deduction not happening?
Happy to hear! 😊 Regarding your KV that is interesting. A few ideas pop to our minds. Have you informed your employer of your health insurance? Are you privately insured? In that case, maybe your employer does not cover 50% or doesn't deduct your part. We would suggest you speak with your HR or supervisor as soon as possible to find out what's going on.
Me getting paid for the first time today having absolutely no idea what is going on. All I noticed was that there was a deduction and I didn't get what it was for since in my home country, there are no deductions made on gross salary (unless you pissed off your employer xD) so I was kinda confused. But this video helped tremendously!
Hello guys, I received my first payslip and it looks exactly like this..I just have a question about the amount at the bottom of the payslip under SV-AG-Anteil, from my understanding thats the employer's part of social securtiy countribution correct ? Also are there other social security insurances that don't appear in my payslip like accident insurance or equipment? Thanks in advance
I just discovered your channel. It is extremely helpful. Thanks a lot. Could you please tell me if there's way to download my payslip from an online portal? I somehow have not received my payslip via post.
You can find the steps in our guide: www.simplegermany.com/church-tax-germany/#How_do_I_leave_the_church_in_Germany_-_Your_guide_to_get_through_the_bureaucracy
Hello, thanks sharing these types of valuable information. Actually I have lived in Germany about 5 years ago and worked there and I have got payslips too. Unfortunately I leave those country and I lost those all supporting documents which are related about the job. Could you give me suggestions how can I get those payslips after 5years from south east Asia. Is it possible to getting it without contact the employer. Thanks for your time Warmest regards
Please I was asked by my company to submit my child birth certificate. Is there any benefit in it, I was also what is my child allowance, the numbers started from either 0.5 to something 6, I don't understand All this thing because I'm New in Germany please can you explain to me
Hey techcanyon, thanks for your feedback. You can always check out our detailed guide on the topic with all the images at www.simplegermany.com/german-payslip-explained/
That should only be the case if you work more than one job. You can read about how to request tax class changes in our guide: www.simplegermany.com/tax-class-germany/
One question I will be getting a joining bonus however it's is not mentioned as a part of the contract but on a separate document. Will that be taxable as well?
No, what she mean with long-term care is a nursing home for the elderly/disabled population. This gets paid from the Pflegeversicherung, but also nursing assistance to the above mentioned people who still live at home.
I'm quite confused. I have the obscure feeling that something is not right with this video. I really don't know but maybe something is different. Or something is missing. Damn, I can't wrap my head around it. Can please someone smart enlight me?
Extremely insightful. Now i've understood everything on my payslip. Thanks a million👍🙏
Now I can say I watched all the videos on this channel 🎉🎉🎉
Wow - thanks a lot for your support! More to come on Monday 😊
Very helpful for someone starting to work in Germany who doesn't really have an idea about salary breakdown and what are all these for. Thank you🙂

Thanks in advance!!
Great suggestion! We will look into it 😁
Very helpful. Thank you so much ☺️
Great! THanks
Wow 👏 kudos nice videos love ❤️ from singapore
The writing on the payslip is on the small side. Using the zoom facility would have made the payslip larger and therefore easier to read and follow.
Thanks for the feedback!!
Can you please explain about the Altersversorgung contribution in another video? I am interested to know about the Public and private pension.
great info
SUPER !!
That helped allot v dank

Zum Glück gibt es den Lohnsteuerjahresausgleich. ;)

🥳 Yes it is your employers contribution. You also have accident cover during work and your commute to work through your employer 😊
Ok thank you so much :)@@simplegermany

Some companies use online portals, but not all. Speak to your manager or HR to find out what delivery method they use 😊 and welcome to our channel 😊
@@simplegermany Thanks for your reply :) I have asked my HR about it now.
How can get out from church tax as I am not religious or visit the the church😕
You can find the steps in our guide: www.simplegermany.com/church-tax-germany/#How_do_I_leave_the_church_in_Germany_-_Your_guide_to_get_through_the_bureaucracy
So would the gasamt-Brutto be the discussed contract salary? Or would that fall under Gehalt?
The total gross is your Gehalt, which is what you discuss.
@@simplegermany thank you :)

To be honest, we would think you would only be able to get them through your employer as they issued them.

You forget to zoom out the payslip so everyone can see it, if you can redo it again I will appreciate.
Hey techcanyon, thanks for your feedback. You can always check out our detailed guide on the topic with all the images at www.simplegermany.com/german-payslip-explained/
Is this payslip weekly, biweekly or monthly?
Monthly in Germany 😉
I received my first payslip and it mentions "tax class 6". Why did this happen? I was expecting tax class 1. Can you please help?
That should only be the case if you work more than one job. You can read about how to request tax class changes in our guide: www.simplegermany.com/tax-class-germany/

Yes any income is taxable
Long term care could be for a cesarean, ja?
No, what she mean with long-term care is a nursing home for the elderly/disabled population. This gets paid from the Pflegeversicherung, but also nursing assistance to the above mentioned people who still live at home.
Very good,and you're beautiful
