Banamoze, are you still there in Kalomo, my love, the year 2005 brings me a lot of memories about us there in Kalomo, the late musesa may his soul rest in peace
I lived kwa Muchinka with my late uncle ba Robert Ndeke Musumina in the mid seventies. I lived in Yose Mwape village. I learned a lot of my mother’s culture and to this day I still speak fluent Lala even though I have resided in the USA 🇺🇸 for a long time. Memories ba Serenje ba? Ifi na temwapo nemwine. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Serenje Kalindula Band is a truly legendary outfit with music that will live on throughout the generations to come. Many years ago when I used to live in Ndeke Village in Kitwe I used to hear their music at night and always wanted to see them perform live. I never had that opportunity. This is certainly one of their best hits. It's a pity we don't have singing groups of their type and calibre today. This traditional fwandafwanda music is classic.
Today 13th September 2022, marks exactly 20 years since Syman Kaseba seated (c), Lead singer/lead guitarist/front man for Serenje Kalindula band passed away
Nice music reminds me of such places as masansa, Mkushi copper mines, ku lubuto, Mkushi sec sch, peiles sch Zambia bar mushibemba River including my late brother Anthony, my late sister charity, chembe and my parents who are still alive in Dallas kabwe.
I am strong and rejuvenated, this is the kind of stuff we deserve. We have forsaken our heritage and hence strange diseases in the name of Covid 19. you will perish because our departed heroes are watching us.
This music is beautiful and romantic to listen from records or watch the band' play. I watched them play a few times. I had few cassettes to play when I was in grad school in Oregon. Would get homesick listening to Zambian music. Surely, our music and our culture at its best.
SERENJE USED TO ENTERTAIN AT A BAR CALLED MWABONWA IN WUSAKILE TOWNSHIP. THEY WERE A PRECIOUS GEM OVER WEEKENDS WHEN NKANA THE RED DEVILS WOULD BEAT ANY TEAM
May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace ✌ The regendarly Serenje Kalindula band Abakwesu kwi lala ba ma na ba ta nebo mubwene tepashana amangalawila, tepabune chilyelele!!
Songs like these were natural Immunities against diseases, now you see we no longer listen to these songs and hence Covid 19. You will perish I tell you.
Great music, can someone continue from where these legends ended just like we had junior mulemena, mulemena boys then John mulemena continued till his demise.
It is absolutely impossible! Just like Congo will not replace Franco and his contemporaries, Jamaica will not replace Bob and equals, Negeria will never find a replacement for Fela. So it is with us here in Zambia and every other country in the world including USA! I strongly believe that great music has already been done in those days, the chapter of great music closed a long time.
It is not possible, these were God given. This was beyond human talent. Listen to Bass Guitar in the background coming slowly to help out the Lead Guitar while the Rhythm Guitar is stabilising softly. I used to watch them in Moonlight night Club in Serenje when I was living in Kwa Kafinda near Tuta Bridge. Now I am 3000Km away in Foreign lands shame.
Old is gold am still remembering Old days when we were growing up we thank God 😊😊

We used to listen to these songs in the late 1980s pa Tukwiza bar as music starved 14year olds not drinking.
