Hey mate! Great video! I got 1 question... can you use this Gold Visor for the night also? I mean is it too dark for an empty street with no lights but yours. I am asking because when i use my clear visor at night, lights from the opposite cars blind me and i must have it open but then there is the problem of something getting into my eyes.. like bugs etc Thanks in Advance!!!
Hi! For me, yes I can use it at night but I didn't try in totally dark streets. Some car lights are either too bright or the adjustment is too high and shine directly into our eyes, that can be dangerous as you said it will blind us. The gold tint visor should help a bit with this but there will still be some light shining into the eyes.
I have the F70 helmet but i find it impossible to find a visor that is colored for it. I can only find clear visors does no one make tinted. Where did u buy this gold one?
The RPHA 70 is more premium so the price point is slightly higher than this F70, I tried the RPHA 70 quite long ago, so I may not remember exactly, from what I can recall, I would say in terms of noise, this F70 would be a little noisier than the RPHA 70, as for comfort they are both comfortable, I do recall that for the RPHA 70 many recommended going one size larger than your usual size. I do like the F70 pilot style and slightly larger field of view though. I recommend you test fitting for both and pick the one you like more. 😁
If you don't mind me asking, what's the measurement of your head/crown in centimeters? I'm a 58cm and I'm not sure on whether I should get M or L. I can't test it out as I'm ordering online and would like to get it right the first time. Thanks!
Looking back, if you knew the cons of this helmet (e.g. wind noise), would you still have bought it? And at what speed does the wind noise become distrubing?
The initial whistle is above 80 km/h, and above 120 km/h the wind noise starts to get disturbing, this is all without any ear plugs.. With the plugs the noise levels will be lower, and I recommend ear plugs for long distance highway riding..
@@thesighbored thanks. Im considering buying this, or the rpha 70. However the rpha 70 has only 3 stars SHARP rating while this has 4 stars. So the cheap solution will be earplugs? Then i will have a safer and quieter helmet.
@@thesighbored the dealer dont have the spare parts like refund the helmet within a day or spare parts in visor mechanism or lock mechanism they just sell you the helmet and your on your own.. they can be bought on other local seller or private.. im talking about "the long run your helmet can go in 5yrs without breaking it on crash they just break in there own.. replace those parts to be used again within 5 yrs of lifespan... not all helmet have those parts even other brand thats what i call a helmet without parts are good as crap and buy a new one
@@thesighbored my rpha 11 has a spare visor mechanism even the lock button they can break any time for daily used and one set of liner pads running 3 yrs in the end of 2022.. thats what I call 5yrs worth the money
THE DOUBLE D RING AND OTHER NECK STRIP. REALLY NEED TO IMPROVE. EXPERIENCE. THERE IS NO RED RIBBON TO UNLOCK. AND THE SHOVEL TO THICK. HOW TO BE NUMBER ONE HELMET ?
If you look back on the video there is the red tab on the D ring, I didn't find any issue with the D ring system or the chin strap. Not sure what shovel you are referring to though.
It's common thing that need to be glove-less when strapping on or removing double D rings.. I have never come across any double D ring system which is possible when glove on. You can try to do it with gloves but it is really a hassle, just easier to do without the gloves.. Even at MotoGP level racers will strap without gloves on.
It's not "normal" but in order to have a snug fit sometimes the cheeks will be a bit squished, especially if the helmet is new. After a few uses, it should get a bit loose and not as squishy.
That's a damn good looking helmet, and that visor makes it perfect
I'm not usually a gold/chrome/iridium fan but for this helmet I felt it just had to have one even though the smoked option was available..

That's odd.. It's sold by HJC here in Malaysia. It's original visor from HJC, not aftermarket or third party visor.

My measurement is 56cm so I'm usually on the borderline between S and M, this time I went with the M and the fit was good for me..

I have just bought this helmet and I think much of the noise is coming from the top front vent... the bottom also but mostly the top..
I agree with you, I believe the visor locking mechanism is not solid enough thus some air gets past the gasket and visor..
i like this helmet problem is they dont have parts when it comes to repair or replace (good as crap) so I choose RPHA 11 it has many many parts
