We have the same DRO in my college but sometime I have some issues with it, like the other I was reducing a BDMS cylinder of diameter 21mm to 18mm. My problem is how to read the DRO .
Do you think it would be advantageous to have some instructional hands on video's demonstrating how to use the DP700 in operation during machining with a lathe, milling machine and boring mill. I looked at the manual and it is not user friendly so why not make some instructional video's demonstrating the functions that relate to the productivity of each of the above mentioned machines thanks
I do not understand why they do not it is a lost opportunity to show directly what this machine can do. If I can't extoll the virtues of this machine to my peers which I can not your losing sales opportunities .I do not have the time to figure out how best to utilize this product when i do not understand the fucking manual. Nobody in my shop does anything other than rudimentary operations because they do not know how ! ! You can get hundreds of prototrak tutorials? I want someone from this company who gives a shit to reply!
@@christopherdonius1215 I agree Chris so many times I have had this in my hands and trying to make production is madness I don't have time in my life to sit and read a manual at home and not have the unit in front of me while learning why not step through the functions as it relates to the equipment and the type of machining application but of course everything can be made on CNC NOT!

Is there a video somewhere on how to mount the DP700 to a lathe
I just installed a dp700 on my lathe. When I move it, it's off by about 15%. I need to calibrate it but I don't understand how.
I have a Newall DP 700 2 axis DRO on my Jet JTM 1050 EVS/2 mill, can I add just the scale on the quill and a 3 axis screen?
No, you will need to purchase a DP700 3 axis unit to add the quill feedback, you you already have X and Y scales plugged in.
