The Fortress of Solitude I thought was brilliant! Have the urge to reread it now. But as you said, there's still a little bit of Summer left :)

will you ever show your reading journal? i would love to see how you document your books in them and i'm sure most of your audience will too! (p.s, i'm actually trying to find a good format for my new reading journal, which is why i/m asking for inspiration! thankyou)

Well, I read the Abnett novel when it came out but remember nothing about it except I enjoyed it. I love all his stuff for 2000ad, Durham Red in particular

Tom Robbins ; one of my recently deceased husbands favourites ; he even got me the ones he spoke about and I tuned into. Antonin Artaud has great and unexpected depth ; he was a rabbit hole from another book .

We're deep in winter over here in New Zealand. It hasn't been too bad, though!
Thanks for sharing. A great collection as always. The books you share always appeal. I usually go hunting on the library system after watching 😂❤
I also really enjoying reading about books. It broadens the horizon I think 😊
    See you next time!

it's so warm here in Manchester - a little bit of cool wouldn't go amiss. Though we're hoping for sun for Levenshulme Pride! I'm glad my choices appeal

I put FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE in my cart. Should be interesting to see Brooklyn fifty years on from my current read: Betty Smith's A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. 7:29

Tom Robbins is an author I'm intrigued by and have yet to read. Is "the floppy book" an American thing? 😂 (asks an American) 📚

Have you read Abnett's Brink? Best modern 2000AD strip by some distance for my money

@paulmagrs2474 To be fair, The Out, another one of his modern strips is decent and dependent on taste, might be just as good, but I'm a bleak Brummie, so Brink takes it for me!
