He didn’t make up Booky, it’s a slang term in that region of the UK meaning treacherous or scary

How bold of you to tell this person who many agree with - and google - that said slang doesn't mean what said slang means.
We all know the more ..oh i dunno..'proper' ? ..reference for bookie means 'one who takes bets' - but this is slang that is apparently common over there so ..it is what it is. Why attack pointlessly? A google search would of saved all that.
I only know what I read when I heard him use it in Animal Flow as well…

@@donmowatt bookie for someone who takes bets is said differently, the "book" part in bookie is said like the word book whereas the "book" part in booky is like its said in spooky but with a b not a sp obviously. Booky is a different word with the definition the previous commenter has provided. The guy who said so wrong, is wrong themself.

This is Ren just flexing, and he nailed it, the production is so clean. It's nothing deep but it's very strong work. If you haven't heard Genesis yet it's his overall best rap song - lyrically it's deep, and the beat is all his and very clean.

EDM was rapping over the beat….I am sure you know how hard it is to do that over such a beat. Anyway Ren was having fun while flexing his skills as a rapper. You do need to checkout his volume 1 and 2 of the demo tapes please.

I know, I hate that it can’t be put on Spotify or Apple Music - hopefully Fisher will give him some rights to it - I wouldn’t even know the Fischer version without Ren introducing me to it.

For some it is talent, and even for the ones that grind, the talent is what you've done with the skills. Saying talent doesn't take away from the grind, and remember someone who doesn't know you, has no idea about your grind, so they're not going to give you props directly to the grind aspect, but again talent is what you'fe done with the skill, it's complementary, not either or, with the or of it being a backhanded complement, just accept it as a complement and be done with it - it's like saying something good is mediocre when that's not the case, mediocre is mediocre, and good is good. Skill is having the tool and knowing how to use it. No need to over think it.
But I ain't one to gossip... .

When you were discussing talent and skill set, I remember when I played sports in high school that you didn't want to hear a coach, or a scout, say that you were talented. The word "talent" was considered an insult because it implied that you were just getting by on your natural physical ability and not willing to put in the work to develop skills.
100% agreed. Practice WILL surpass talent when the effort is put in.
