    It makes me Cry 2 C the Diamonds go Bye Bye!!
    They have been there for 100 years dude !
    Look up the historical society records for that county.
    The tracks by the Plant City Flea Mkt have trains all day and night coming by.
    We were there back in the early 90's with VHS Cameras and Tapes Long before this internet and TH-cam even existed...

    The new diamond sounds quieter when the trains go over it but its still loud as hell.

    Awesome video.
    Those wheels sure bounce on that diamond on the A line side.
    On that ethanol train, I was expecting 2 buffers and another 5000 foot block of empty oil tanks. That happened to me but the difference was that the CP engines were leading a BNSF, NS, and CSX unit.

      Hey! Plant City is wonderful, just not right at the railroad tracks. Mostly quiet away from Tampa, but close enough to work there.

    Another fantastic informative video. Interesting the combined empty ethanol and coal. Sometimes have to wonder about the trains as they get longer though. Sometimes the scanner seems to have dispatchers having trouble finding places for trains to pass when one is super long. Interesting to see how it all works out in the long run. I'm hoping they replace that diamond over a weekend, would love to be down there to watch that - knowing my luck it won't happen that way!! Thanks again for a fantastic video! Now I guess I have to go get an Instagram account to go look at your photos too!!

    Excellent production! I've seen a similar train combo once, coal loads combined with unit grain. It makes me wonder how deep in the consist a DPU can be to reliably communicate with the lead engine. It's quite interesting that Q045 was a solid intermodal, while Q046 carried rather laughable load of 6 containers. Is there any story behind your Instagram profile name? I mean, why 7703?

    • @kotabeaner
      @kotabeaner  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank You Very Much! To answer your question, not necessarily. I was trying to do numbers of locomotives that I liked within my name, and 7703 was the only name that wasn’t taken. NS 7703 was a locomotive I caught in Bradenton a couple years ago.

    What time would be a good time to take my daughter to plant city to experience a train up close? I live over near tarpon springs area, today, or this weekend times?

    • @kotabeaner
      @kotabeaner  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, plant city isn’t the greatest for action like it used to be. The Coal and ethanol trains are not regulated, so they (usually on their own and not combined) can run either direction (southbound = Loaded & northbound = Empty) at anytime of any day. However, in terms of somewhat regulated, daily trains, between 3 and 9 PM, you can catch 2 Mixed Freights, 1 intermodal and 2 Amtrak trains. During the week however, you can also catch a variety of local trains scattered throughout the day. Hope this helps!
