I have been going to Tarifa for about 20 yrs. It takes nearly 2 days driving from the UK but is well worth the trip. A couple of things you missed on your guide. One of the nearest airports is Gibraltar and you didn't mention the campsites, several of which are right on the beach. A good budget option .
Hi there, I will be travelling with my defender and roof tent to Tarifa next week and would love to know the best campsite on the beach to stay. Im an intermediate kiter so no issues with wind directions, but would love to camp as close to the beach as possible to wake up and hit the water. any tips welcome. thanks
Hey Manfred!! Thanks for checking out the video, sorry it took a minute to get the link for the spot guide live. Here's the spot guide with info on more spots: www.mackiteboarding.com/news/kiteboarding-travel-guide-tarifa-spain-destinations-ep-05/ and theres a travel guide at crystalveness.com/blog/2018/06/06/blown-away-tarifa-spain-travel-guide/ :)
If you go to Tarifa, rent a camper and sleep at your favorite beach or in town whereever you want, there are hundreds if not thousands of people from all over the world who do this. Trust me, if you dont mind showering at one of the beachbars if your camper has no shower, you will have the best time.
I really like these series. Keep it up! Some feedback, please don't blur the screen and point to the link on the top right corner. It doesn't point to anything on the phone or on TV and blurry screen makes the experience uncomfortable. I've also noticed that in some videos the data visualizations do not really fit the narrative well. Moreover, in some cases additional dollar signs seem to represent cheaper which is confusing. Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers!
Ertan Dogrultan thanks for the feedback my friend. The green arrow points to a TH-cam Card. That will only be available on the TH-cam ap with mobile or a standard desktop. We can't fit all the information in the videos without making them obnoxiously long so we link to our full guide. Thanks for the insight on the Data, I'll have to work on improving these to more clearly display the information. Cheers! - Rygo
Hey Simon! Truth be told, September is one of their "slower" times - I've been there in September and still been amazed by the amount of kites in the sky. It's just a very busy place in general!
Thank you for your thoughts, Andrew. 🤙🏽 I can only imagine how certain kite spots around the world light up during the busier times of the year. Are you local to Tarifa or just traveling? -Aaron

Also you can fly into Gibraltar airport and drive 30 mins to Tarifa
