Center for Barefoot Massage, still doesn't answer my question is this more effective than a shiatsu massage which I got that one time they nearby broke my back and neck.
"effective" can mean anything. Do you want it to be effective for pain relief, or effective in the sense that it doesn't injure anyone? Probably both, right? We only train licensed massage therapists how to massage with their feet, and the technique that we train them in focuses on safety and sturdy equipment. Shiatsu and Ashiatsu are totally different techniques. Whomever "nearly broke your back and neck" at the mall probably wasn't trained in our specific technique. Make sure whoever you let touch you is a licensed massage professional - which means they have completed training, testing and licensure through a state board. And then check to see if the techniques that professional is using on you was learned with an approved modality - or if it's something they just made up on their own. Ask them questions, look for licenses displayed on the walls, and don't let anyone rush you into a massage session without first going over your health history, your goals for the session, and their training and experience that led them up to the point of where they feel they can help someone in your situation. LASTLY: a trained and licensed pro in the business will also have liability insurance and will have a state board for you to file complaints with - so any injuries that may have happened can be reported and a claim opened - just like a car accident. Working with licensed, trained, certified and insured massage therapist does mean that the price will increase, but like I said, you get what you pay for. Research the therapists you chose to work on you. I'm sorry you were hurt in the past, our technique, and the technique that Jeni is demonstrating in this video, is meant to be safe so that instances like yours do not ever ever happen.
Center for Barefoot Massage, Ohh, OK thank you, next time I will further my research on what I'm getting done, and if I'm in San Antonio, I will look you all up, thank you once again for the info.
Wow truth be told..you obviously know nothing of this modality. ASHIATSU can be performed with portable bars such as these or bars installed on the ceiling. The therpist just uses them for support.
truth betold the bars usually ARE in the ceiling. These are the portable versions that are designed for events, I explain that in this live, onsite video at the local TV studio. Please don't be a Negative Nelly, as an instructor and national representative of the Ashiatsu modality, I wouldn't use or promote anything unsafe..
my absolute favorite..love it
Good ....more video upload
Does anybody know where we can learn this massage technique in Europe, France? This is an amazing approach to deep tissue massage ! Soo interesting!
