Another masterpiece from Tan Dun! Just realized Tan Dun is also the composer for the title theme for the movie "hero"! There are similarities between these two pieces, especially near the end of "Fire Ritual". I had the pleasure to be in a live performance in Taipei on March 7. There were 6 performers at the upper balcony in the audience section (the reason the conductor is facing the audience). The sound effect in live is amazing!!
