Remember Lucy’s first sermon? Sam: Is she done yet? Annie: No. Makes me laugh every time! 😂😂 But in seriousness, I feel for Lucy. She’s been through so much in life.
Women are not to teach in church: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence" (First Timothy 2:11-12 KJV). It is unscriptural for women to be pastors/ministers in churches. Nevertheless, "progressive" churches allow women pastors, even gay/lesbian pastors, all of which are contrary to Scripture. And episodes like this promote such unscriptural practices to be PC. Avoid such churches.
Wow. Using two verses in Scripture to justify sexism. I know your next arguments will be that Paul also addresses these in his epistles but have you explored the history and context behind those scriptures? Have you looked at many of these scriptures in the original Greek? That being said: My major issue with this episode is that any denomination would never put a father and daughter as pastors in the same church. Also, if Lucy had taken any courses in seminary, she would’ve learned that she was breaking one of the cardinal rules, don’t use the pulpit to satisfy personal vendettas. Dad is also to blame; he shouldn’t have let her bully him into preaching. The denomination they belong to (a bishop has been mentioned in earlier episodes) would have instigated disciplinary actions on them both.
i love beverly mitchell she is so amazing and puts so emotion in to her work
She's a great actress! I think she has a country album as well!
Lucy humiliating Kevin for the miscarriage was wrong. I am surprised he didn't walk out in disgust.
'simons probably out trying to have some twins right now' always cracks me up the most in this.
