I love your reactions. You two seem so sweet together. CCR has two songs I really love. Traveling band and long as I can see the light. Lead singer John Fogerty is amazing. He wrote many of the songs.
"Spiro" is former American politician Spiro Agnew, "Walter And Eric["were two legendary American news anchors. ''The Blue Room" refers to the U.S. governments "Project Blue Book", the study/ investigation of UFO's by the C.I.A. in the 60's.
What a treat! A deep cut I've never heard before ! And to share with the Merchants, even better! ❤...kids if, and when , you get to CCR 'S cover of " I HEARD IT THRU THE GRAPEVINE" Please for love of all that's good listen to full 11 minute version studio, the radio edit , 3 minute version is a travesty! Full studio version from their album Cosmo"s Factory...it's CCR at full force, and Marvin Gaye was proud!
Very cool that you reacted to one of CCR's deeper cuts. All of their songs are great, but reactors rarely dig deeper. Also, good job taking the time to understand the lyrics, because there are several references to people from that time. If you want to hear even more of their versatility, try "Walk on the Water" next.
Another awesome choice, this has always been one of my favourite CCR tunes, it's bouncy and fun, but also a wry little commentary on the nature of modern society. Terrific reaction, always fun to ride along with you both as you discover some awesome music. Much love from Canada!
CCR's first hit was DOWN ON THE CORNER. It came out on a 45 record . Thats Willy and the Po Boys in the picture you had up. Their song about class division during wartime is FORTUNATE SON.
One of the best songs that CCR did... here's the lyrics Whoa, it came out of the sky Landed just a little south of Moline Jody fell out of his tractor Couldn't b'lieve what he seen, oh Laid on the ground shook Fearin' for his life Then he ran all the way to town Screamin', "It came out of the sky" Well, a crowd gathered 'round And a scientist said it was marsh gas Spiro came to make a speech About raisin' the Mars tax Vatican said, "Woe, the Lord has come" Hollywood rushed out an epic film Ronnie the Populist said It was a communist plot Whoa-oh Oh, the newspapers came And made Jody a national hero Walter and Eric said they'd put him On a network TV show White House said, "Put the thing in the Blue Room" The Vatican said, "No, it belongs in Rome" Jody said, "It's mine But you can have it for 17 million" Whoa, it came out of the sky Landed just a little south of Moline Jody fell out of his tractor Couldn't b'lieve what he seen, oh Laid on the ground a-shakin' Fearin' for his life And then he ran all the way to town Screamin', "It came out of the sky" Whoa

Molina is one of my favorite CCR tunes
Not one of their most well known songs but it is one of my favourites. The guitar on this is fantastic. A real rocker.

I've been waiting for someone to react to this--one of my favorites!!
They were the worlds most popular band in 1969-70, i was lucky to be a fan of them then.

Great song from the Excellent Willy and The Poor Boys album ❤❤
Feel some Chuck Berry here in the guitar...excellent stuff.
Good old rock and roll.
Born on the bayou is a must listen by them. A classic!
Agreed. they listened to it a week or two ago if you check their prior videos. Great tune
The best USA band for me....as you say, tears & laughter, via mocking, as here.

One of my all time favorite songs. He is the greatest lyricist, bar none.

Glad you found this relatively hidden gem. One of my favorites from CCR.

Amazing how a band from California can sound like they are right out of bayou country in the south.
Thanks, guys. Love me some CCR.

CCR doesn't have a bad song. This was just plain fun 😊
Love John lead guitar ❤
"The Midnight Special" by CCR is a must to react too. You'll love it.

One of the best songs that CCR did... here's the lyrics
Whoa, it came out of the sky
Landed just a little south of Moline
Jody fell out of his tractor
Couldn't b'lieve what he seen, oh
Laid on the ground shook
Fearin' for his life
Then he ran all the way to town
Screamin', "It came out of the sky"
Well, a crowd gathered 'round
And a scientist said it was marsh gas
Spiro came to make a speech
About raisin' the Mars tax
Vatican said, "Woe, the Lord has come"
Hollywood rushed out an epic film
Ronnie the Populist said
It was a communist plot
Whoa-oh
Oh, the newspapers came
And made Jody a national hero
Walter and Eric said they'd put him
On a network TV show
White House said, "Put the thing in the Blue Room"
The Vatican said, "No, it belongs in Rome"
Jody said, "It's mine
But you can have it for 17 million"
Whoa, it came out of the sky
Landed just a little south of Moline
Jody fell out of his tractor
Couldn't b'lieve what he seen, oh
Laid on the ground a-shakin'
Fearin' for his life
And then he ran all the way to town
Screamin', "It came out of the sky"
Whoa
👏 LOVE TO SEE THOSE SMILES N HEAD BOBBIN. SUZY Q, SUZY Q, SUZY Q…. A MUST HEAR. ROCK ON 👊🖖

CCR is the occasionally bleeding soul of the USA
