Fight Night Champion is better than UFC 4 & 5.
The final fight against frost was one of the toughest endgame fights in video game history.

All u gotta do is avoid him for 3 rounds an protect a cut after that he's easy
as a child, like 13 years old, I found that fight really easy, did it twice in one try a few years apart. Now I tried it again only a few months ago and I can't get past round 4
you gotta land 75 body shots in 3 rounds aswell so you HAVE to get close. You cant avoid him until later. That wasnt as easy as u make it out to be@@babushkanooshka9676

i beat the game in like a night or 2. Isaac however, (honestly the isaac frost fight is like a whole ass second game inside the game) took me literally 2 nights till like 4 am to even get close. i finally got him after taking a break, smoking some gas to calm myself down bc at this point i was full on red face, and sweating (and i never sweat in games lmao) and it felt great, i could finally sleep happy.
I haven’t touched fight night in years because I’m not going thru the BS of fighting Frost

Patently false, this game requires good technique to succeed. It is fine if you feel that this game is unworthy of acknowledgment, you are entitled to your opinion, but the mature thing to do is find something else to watch.
Isaac Frost is still the one boss in any game that still gives me PTSD flashbacks to this day.

i have no clue why but i wrecked everyone at this game. like i suck at pvp or multiplayer games but somehow i had this game down. once i had a decent understanding my online play was insane. honestly the only reason i really miss this game so much, it was the only game i knew id win against anyone.
I started an online career, just fought a couple of fights (maybe just less than 10) but won them all by KO ^^
Made my father rage quit, unable to defeat me haha

It’s not a real fighting game. It’s scripted garbage. Story mode is 4 hrs of gameplay. It’s the arcade version of a boxing game.

I always loved legacy mode on goat difficulty, the progression of your character is so satisfying you eventually can counter punch ko in round 1.
Legacy mode on this game is too easy even on goat difficulty. Fight Night round 4 though, on goat difficulty? Now that's a fun challenge. FNR4 is also more realistic with the corrupt judges: if you don't clearly dominate a fight that ends in a decision you can get robbed.

fight night is not only the best boxing game but one of the best and the most iconic combat based games ever made! It still plays very strong to this day and did not age at all!! I really hope undisputed gives us something similar to be within this benchmark!!

That story mode actually looks interesting. I don’t mind when it’s just fight after fight but I like they mixed it up.
I quit. I couldn't get past that last fight with Frost. The developers who designed that fight can go to hell.
Frost is hard but you just have to focus on counter punching and not letting him get you on the ropes/corner.

Doesn't lose stamina, speed, or power, requires 75 body shots to slow him down over the course of 3 rounds, you are forced to protect a cut for a further 2 rounds...aaaaand then Frost is easily beaten...it's not even satisfying when you finally get him!!! Argh Frost!
How about the part where you play as him against Big Baby? You can stunlock BB just by spamming jabs to the face. Stunlocking. In a game where you can't even stunlock without headbutts or low blows.

Fight Night Round 4 is my favorite.
Not just the greatest Boxing game ever made, one of the best video game combat systems of all time. Honestly to me nothing since has quite matched the level of instinctual, flow state attack and defence possible with FNC's mechanics. The way you can bob and weave, and throw moves out that feel just close enough to the actual motions to give a really nice feel to the back and forths is fucking incredible.
I'd buy a remaster in a heartbeat. Or a revival. Just give us these systems again, someone!

HELL NO IT ISN'T!!! I can and I quote, play Champion on GOAT difficulty, turn my chair around, go through the motions and still win the fight by the 6th round. The game is actually ass. I still play it once a week though. Also, Undisputed has gameplay literally 1000x better.

Round four gameplay was faster, better ability to box and move and each boxer felt unique. The ability to go from head to body shots was a lot faster which made it a lot funner to pull off combos. The stamina system was better, I don’t even know how to have stamina after the third round on champions, without going out my way of not boxing for half a round. 4 had the most licensed boxers. The create a boxer n career mode was better.

Why when I read the title I thought this was a space ice movie review lol
It's a good game but I never liked the controls. It's really hard to throw combinations while moving because as soon as you throw in a body shot, it activates the slipping modifier and you stop dead in your tracks. Very frustrating.

Would be if they took out the side step uppercut and power straights and made them less meta.. I would agree
You can lean the side step uppercut or time it with a power hook after a jab. You can over hand powers straight or again lean back and they lose all their stamina and then you rush em because they will take extra damage.

@@MrBrezzie20 then that's a skill issue and you problem. If there is a solution then there is no problem. There is no solution to turtle parrying in the older fight nights. They lose no stamina and gain so much off just standing their waiting to parry because the punches were so telegraphed back then.
Still to this day I just can't get past Frost😭😭😭 But I guess I'll go for the balls next time😂😂😂

Fun fact about fight night champions the Issac frost fight is ligit one of the hardest bosses in video game history cause of that same bs mechanic the game is super easy up untill that fight then it's stupid hard for no resson
Ain't super easy. Some of those dumbahh characters on higher difficulty suck ahh to fight against. I'm 1000-200 online so I know even the slick punches that aren't in the manuals. Some of those characters are outright crazy
