I think I need to clarify two things about the Eversolo BEFORE our follow-up video later in the week. First, while the A8 has what appear to be 2 HDMI ports, one in and one out, it is NOT a multi-channel or home theater device. The Eversolo will not pass through nor send a video signal to your TV. It is also a stereo-only product, meaning you cannot send a native multi-channel or surround sound signal to its HDMI ARC/eARC input and get surround sound. If you connect this to your TV (like I did), you must make sure your TV is outputting PCM Stereo via its HDMI ARC/eARC port to work with the A8. Many TVs do this automatically, so there's no need to worry, but if yours doesn't, that's the setting to check for.
The HDMI port found with the A8's digital outputs is known as an IIS (or i2S) connection. While it uses a form of an HDMI-style termination, it is NOT an HDMI connection in the traditional sense. Apologies if I was unclear about this or simply glossed over it without further explanation. This is a relatively new way to connect digital components, such as a streamer or transport, to an outboard DAC, but it is not yet standardized*. (*source: Wikipedia) PS Audio and a few other companies use this digital connection method on their devices rather than the older-school method, which was RJ-45 or similar. The A8 supports DSD and PCM output through this IIS/i2S HDMI-looking port. Like the HDMI input, though, the HDMI-looking IIS/i2S port DOES NOT support video and is NOT INTENDED for home theater use. Hope this clears up any and all confusion, and I apologize for any misunderstandings. We will no doubt discuss this topic and more in greater detail in our follow-up video.
Yep, I love my Eversolo DMP-A6 with the LPS upgrade as just a streamer. It plays native Apple Music lossles, hi-res lossless.
I use an external r2r Denafrips Pontus II 12th dac and Denafrips Iris 12th (ddc) and Cardas Parsec RCA interconnects.
Parasound 2100 preamp for the home theater bypass and L/R balance to my Arcam AVR5 7.4.4 setup. As good as the Eversolo DMP-A6's volume knob sounded, the Parasound's volume knob sounds better.
What's the $10,000 preamp/streamer?
One is actually an IIS output, just a different digital output option.
Real test is again the Auralic Altair g1.1.
Other British reviewer stated the g1.1 sounds better
@robinsonbrand : This might have been mentioned elsewhere, but since I deem it important: The DMP-A6 outputs MultiChannel 5.1 via it‘s HDMI out. This is for multi-layer SACD‘s , which I play vie SMB from either PC or NAS. It also outputs DTS ( CD ). For the SACD, you can select the 2.0 or 5.1 stream on the DMP-A6‘s touch screen. As far as I can see, the A8 does not offer this.
Not in the market for a device like this, but still enjoy listening and learning. Always appreciate the quality of your content.
Thanks so much!

Awesome video man. I really hope Eversolo works out a better solution for Sub crossover and implementation.
Really Good review! I have a wish….give LUMIN products a try. I just love my LUMIN u2 mini!
I bought the A8 a couple months ago and I have it running into the Schitt Tyr monoblocks to my Magnipan LRS+’s. I use the rca out into a svs PB2000. I love the simplicity of the setup compared to previous separate setups I have had. The sound quality is excellent. The total set up was 6500$ for a great midfi system. So far the Eversolo A8 is my favorite hifi component I have owned in 20 years in this hobby. Hopefully it remains reliable.
Do you crossover on the subwoofer itself or do you make use of the internal DSP ?
Great review Andrew. I have enjoyed my A8 now for 4 months. This well done unit is the best bargain I have ever owned in 50 years of audiophilia. The A8 feeds a Parasound Halo driving Cornwall 4s. Fills my listening room with beautiful music.
I think your new format with a longer discussion with Kristi will be greatly appreciated . The two of you make a great review pair and the thoughts and user experience you both discuss matters when thinking about buying a product .
😄
Plus…best part…TWO videos per week instead of one. Woot!
We were hoping (and still have some) that most people would be happy about the change, but boy, this has some people feeling all sorts of ways. @@tommysshinebox1661
@@KristiWright Don't worry we will get used to it eventually. I like the second follow up video. It gives us input because you are including our comments in the following discussion.
I don't need and can't really afford kit like this. I'm just compelled to listen anyway - I still learn something about kit in my budget, and your logical non-drama approach really stands out from the pack - and tbh I just really enjoy listening. Thank you!
Damn. I'm impressed. I'm keeping this on the short list if I get a streamer/pre-amp. Thanks guys.
I think the fact that you voted for it with your wallet says it all. Especially when someone like you guys does it. You get tons of access to products for review well beyond what a person just searching for that one thing does. So it has to be one damn good product and it seems to be. Glad to see more and more competition in this segment.
Love the review and all the points!
Can’t wait to see more conversation episodes.
Hope everyone has an awesome day!
Full disclosure, I don't care how Eversolo's marketing team or people conduct themselves, as they (at least in my experience) are a little heavy-handed with their wants/needs, which is a shame because their products CAN and DO stand on their own. I bought the A8 at retail instead of putting up with them. Had it not performed I would've returned it, but seeing as how it did (and then some) I paid the credit card bill and this baby is MINE! Glad I did, too, as it's harder to get your hands on than unobtainium.
@@robinsonbrand I totally get it. I think everyone should do exactly that. Buy it, try it yourself, and return/find something else if it didn’t fit. Instead of chasing the hype. I’m glad the product is actually worth buying and I do agree that their marketing should take a chill pill… as do others as well! Enjoy your new baby! 💪
Hi Kristi and Andrew! I purchased the DMP-A8 when it first hit the US market last year. So far, it has been fantastic. I took the leap and spent the extra money based on some early reviews. I now use it as my dedicated media hub and utilize it's internal DAC. It's that good. I use the XLR outputs directly to a pair of monoblock amplifiers and a powered subwoofer via the RCA outputs. It has superb sound quality (dare I say audiophile high-end level sound?), super flexible in it's usability with a myriad of inputs and outputs. It is so good, I removed my separate Denafrips Ares II DAC and Denafrips Hades preamplifer and use the Eversolo as a unified source/preamp instead. The screen and it's multitude of options and VU meters are great. The internal DSP and PEQ has been a life saver with my difficult-to-control room acoustics. The A8 is built exceptionally well and feels and sounds like the asking price. In general, the internal streamer is quite good, but I have just a few nits to pick. It is a little sluggish scrubbing or switching through tracks. The drill down in streaming menus and accessing existing playlists and favorites can be a little clunky. I previously had the Bluesound Node, while the A8 sounds better, the Node's menu format may be just a little bit easier to operate. All in all though, this thing rocks...highly recommended.
Really appreciate you sharing your experience! It's a great piece, for sure!
I've had my A8 for about a week now, majority of my $ have gone to a premium vinyl setup, but I put a 2TB SSD in the A8, transferred over 400 uncompressed CD's to it, and now have a very fine digital hub for a pretty complete system.
Besides everything you mentioned, I think the smaller box of the A6 looks bad, and gladly payed the extra for a nicer looking piece of kit in the A8.
I’ve been waiting for this one
Hope it was worth the wait!
Great timing! Been looking at this in my search for a steamer for Apple Music mainly. This is at the top of my list so far in that regard.
Looking forward to any follow up vids!
Thank you Andrew. I completely agree on the comparisons between products with significant delta's in price point. At the end, as an audiophile in a on-going journey I am building my system to my specific budget and I cannot help to wonder what if saving for the next tier would actually be rewarding. Of course value is a completely subjetive variable but ultimately it serves a lot that although you may have subjective taste's, you do have experience enough to discern between a wide range of products that we usually do not have the budget, availabily or time to do audition or experience. Thanks again, Regards from Mexico!
Sold! Sold! Sold! My only wish would be a sub out with bass management and standard with width chassis-minor inconveniences only.
I have the A6 Master edition which I have also upgraded the internal power supply, I had an A8 on trial to compare, as I do not use the in-built DACs (I use a Chord m-scaler/hugo TT2 combo) the difference is not easily heard, there is a tiny difference, but I was not able to blind A/B them. Also, the latest firmware for the A6 now includes the same fully suited functions as the A8, so DSP, PQM and EQ with multiple settings for all inputs is brilliant. All I can say is a big thank you to Eversolo, A6, A6ME and A8 are just fantastic. for reference I have a Michi x3 and B&W 804 D4s downstream of my chord combo DAC 🙂 a set up made in heaven !
Your A6 Master edition is no A8 and I commend your patriotism to EverSolo. Should be an A7/ME and A9 soon.
@@joenovak6393 using an external DAC , as I do with the Hugo TT2 and M-scaler combo, so using the A6 ME or A8 as just digital carriers, there is really no major difference, based on my hearing through my quite revealing system. If you use the internal DACs there is a noticable difference, the A8 is much better, however the A8 internal DAC vs the A6 ME with new PS and external DAC Chord Hugo TT2/m-scaler, the A6 in much better.
@jamiermathlin Do you connect to the DAC via spdif or usb? I have an A6 (not master) connected to my Benchmark DAC through spdif as I use the usb connection on the Dac for my Melco NAS. I understand the A6 controls the clocking on spdif and the Benchmark for the USB. So, I’m wondering if I should upgrade to the A6 master to get the benefits of the better clocks.
Thanks for sharing your comparison of the A6ME with upgraded LPS to the A8.
I have the DMP-A6 with the upgraded LPS as a streamer, with external Denafrips POntus II 12th-1 dac and Denafrips Iris 12th ddc and Cardas Parsec RCA interconnects and Parasound 2100 preamp (better volume knob and home theater bypass and L/R balance). source=Apple Music lossless
@@surreygraham6714 This is a good point, I have tried both spdif (TOSlink) and USB and the truth is that TOSlink is a much better sound when connecting from the A6ME to my Chord Electronics M-Scaler (which is connected to the HugoTT2 via twin coax) compared to the USB, and it is not a small difference, I would estimate 10-15% improvement in smoothness and clarity. Trust me I was surprised when I tried this. I am not sure if the improvement comes from the A6ME output or the M-Scaler input, but the difference is noticeable !
Just wanted to pop in and say this video looks amazing. In my humble opinion, your sense for aesthetics and design is on another level compared the other 99% on youtube. Looking forward to seeing the next one. No pressure ;)
Thank you!
Thanks for the review Andrew! :) I heard Eversolo DMP A6 as a transport paired with Gustard R26 R2R DAC at a friend's house. It was very impressive. The Gustard R26 is an incredibly good DAC, airy, musical, analog, smooth, but at the same time fast and very dynamic, with a huge sound stage. I hope I managed to do a test with my friend comparing Eversolo A6+ Gustard vs Eversolo A8.
It is night & day difference adding the gustard to A6 or just little improvements ?
@@valentinpetrita9335 Not night and day, but definitely better. The A6's own DAC sounds a bit sharper and the sound image extends into the high range, while the Gustard is smoother and more balanced.
Happy Sunday morning Andrew and Kristi. Great review. Andrew you're absolutely glowing over this one. Keep the good stuff coming.
I rarely come across a product that reacts exactly how I would want a product to behave. I swear, it's like EverSolo read my mind when designing and developing the A8. If it was a full-width product and came in slightly different finishes, it would be absolutely perfect for me!
So happy when Eversolo recently updated online the A6 software to include the EQ feature. Yeah 👏👍
Have owned the A8 for 3 months or so now and totally agree with your comments. its a game changer for sure!
So glad you're enjoying it as much as we are!
Looking forward to the double format follow-up! 😊
I love this review! Now I want the A8!!! Looking forward to the follow-up video with Kristi!!💖🥰💖
:)
This unit looks very promising, modern Hifi I would say. Also, I like your guises approach on after the review segments.
Good morning Andrew and Krist. Thanks for the review. This seems to be a kickass unit across the board.
Absolutely kick-ass! Thanks for watching!
At 4:57 we see the selection for using both XLR and RCA outputs at the same time. If you select both you lose most of the low bass from the XLRs. I thought there was a crossover doing this or something in the DSP/EQ doing it but there wasn't. Turned down the vol on my subs and the mains had no bass using both outputs. I switched back and forth for 2 days and somehow the little SMSL D6S budget DAC sounds a little better driving amps directly via XLR than the A8.
Wow that looks nice with the 8300. And your space is looking great too. Have a great week.
Thanks, you too!
I had the Eversolo DMP-A6 for probably 7 months and I love it. I have Parasound JC2BP preamp and A21+ power amp and Focal Sopra 1's in a medium size room. . I used the A6 as a DAC and streamer. I had my eyes on the DMP-A8 since it first came out. The HDMI earc, more digital inputs were something i wanted. All the reviewers was saying the preamp was extremely good as well. After seeing your review i ordered one thinking i will could sell the A6 and JC2BP preamp and that would cover the cost plus have some extra cash. The A8 as a preamp was really good if i used the DSP to make the sound a bit warmer to match the Parasound. But unfortunately the drop in gain was dramatic and I would have to have the volume on the A8 to -25db and have the gain on the power amp maxed out to get any kind of loud music ( 85-90db ). I normally had the power amp at half gain with the Parasound preamp and still have lots more headroom if i wanted really loud for movies. If i didn't have a 300wpc power amp, it probably wouldn't really work well as a preamp if someone liked loud movies and music. Especially if you had low sensitive speakers. Ill keep it as a preamp for a while and see how it works as my daily driver. I may have Parasound JC2BP for sale if someone is looking for one. Lol.
Looks amazingly cool!
Yes - I love this thing too .. Hands down some of the best out there.
hahaha .. 70% of the questions in here would be answered if they wrote it in google instead ...or looked it up on the webpage. Yikes. That's an easy help to your algorithm statistic. =)
Awesome review, thanks guys!
How would you compare the EverSolo vs the Moon Ace?
I feel that both have a similar sound quality.
Was considering buying it, now with your affirmation I feel ready to purchase
I think it's worth it. I'm not returning mine.
Last week the A8 is now "Roon Ready" after an update. There it is in the upper left corner of the display. No more Airplay!!! My A8 feeds my Parasound A21+ then to my Cornwall IVs, and it really does sound wonderful.
Hey Andrew and Kristi. I’ve heard the DMP-A8 DAC is warmer than the A6. Do you feel that way? Is it better, or just a different sound signature? Thanks!
Thanks, and yes, that is a way better product than last week's offering. lol I am always up against the pervasive high end stereo vs. A/V but have chosen A/V and just soldier on as my wife and I truly are a 50/50 music/ movie family. lol
Very enthusiastic review, thanks Andrew. I just ordered one for my secondary system. I am excited to compare it to the ~$6,800USD Cary Audio DMS-700 DAC/Streamer/Preamp that I use in my reference system.
I have a feeling you'll likely find the A8 provides a sensation of greater detail at the "expense" of artificial warmth or added mid-bass and softer treble voicing. Please check back in and let me know how it goes!
Love the A8. I had the A6, then got the A8 when it first came out. The sound quality is definitely better on the A8, at least with my Klipsch Heresy IV speakers. The A6 was brighter & harsh when doing the ab comparison between the two. Sold the A6
This is the type of unit i would seriously look at if i were getting into streaming. The fact that its fully balanced is cool. The fact that its a capable preamp with the added feature to rip cds is pretty cool.
I would still buy this based on its preamp/DAC and DSP functionality alone. I think the streaming stuff is a bonus in this case.
If only the eversolo was as gorgeous as the Classé 😂
Great review, thank you!
The Classé is pretty!
I get it. Some products have functionality to check a box. I've got 3 DACs in my HT setup (TV, BD player, Yamaha HT Receiver). Only the receivers DAC actually gets used. It's nice when a product that has multiple functionalities actually does them all well. Streamer ✓ DAC ✓ Preamp ✓. And to me this level of performance is commensurate with the price. You wanna better DAC, buy the A6, but your gonna spend more or at the very least take up more space. I hate when people discount space (or in this case, saving it) as a commodity. To most (arguably all) consumers size, looks, ease of use, cost and the Almighty sound quality all matter. If you can check all those boxes, you've got a real winner.
Nice! This is what I was hoping Eversolo would produce. One more analog input, active room correction, and its pretty much perfect. Eversolo and Wiim are really taking it to the established players, hopefully it pushes them to iterate faster and compete better on price.
Random aside, I see Eversolo has a power amp, that I assume is meant to pair with this. Do you plan on testing that?
Great review, thanks. It’s great you’re committed to good value hifi. Based on the last vid, “We’ve actually been working on stuff…” only adds to the marital speculation. 😂❤
Fantastic review as always. Do you think the next step here is one with an integrated amp so it's an all in one?
Been waiting for this one! Great video! I clicked on your Amazon link Andrew (to buy the A8) but unfortunately it appears Amazon is out of stock. 😢 I have been needing a new pre/dac/streamer for a few years now and this checks all the boxes for me. After I get my hands on the A8, the only thing left to fill the hole in my system is a new power amplifier. I have Model 5 speakers so, with the A8 (whenever it comes back in stock), I am thinking I need a power amplifier with a little warmth....I just dont want the whole chain to end up sounding too "sharp" on my ears resulting in fatigue. Then again I suppose I could just use the A8s PEQ to adjust to taste. This really seems like a fantastic product! Any advice on accompanied power amplifiers is welcome too. Thanks Andrew, and I love the new trial format of a second video every week!
I really enjoy your guys channel. So you mentioned an issue with the new ChiFi products in a recent discussion about the problems with the Wiim Amp. I really like the features of the A8, but am a bit concerned about $1980. And only a one year warranty. Doesn't instill much confidence for me to purchase. What is your opinion of Eversolo's quality. Does it really sound that great, or is everybody in on hyping it up?
Thank you.
Thank you for the review. I was planning to buy the Marantz CD50n because I also wanted a new CD player but now I am leaning more towards the A8 and an extra CD player 😂
Different question: where can I buy the concrete looking furniture? I like it a lot!
this was all so impressive and complex, i had to stop half way thru, and just play a record and appreciate my mediocre sound system due to the fact that its the artist and the music that brings me emotional response and not my gear (although i am fairly shallow and love looking at it all). love your channel!
What a weird comment.
Hey Andrew. Great channel! Would you recommend the A8 as a preamp to the audiolab 8300xp? Any issues (eg with volume control /gain matching etc) encountered with this direct setup? Thx
I still use the A6 Daily. Stunner. Dropped the Linear Powesupply upgrade in it.
I will likely sell my Z8 and A6 now that I have the A8, but agree, the A6 is impressive. Hope all is well! Loved your NAD review BTW.

Thank you 🙏🏼
I’m cracking a Guinness and the Soda bread is almost done. Cheers you two. 😊😊

Hi Andrew and thanks for the review.
Just one thing that's been bothering me. Simon from "13th Note Reviews" was offered a free A8 unit from Eversolo in exchange for a review. Simon could have kept the unit for himself afterwards but he declined the offer and did not review the sample for obvious moral reasons. I was wondering if Eversolo had approached you with any such offer? You mentioned in the review that you bought the unit with your own money...
Hi Andrew, great review! In your clip yesterday you mentioned that if you own a higher end AVR with room correction you would be hard pressed to find an upgrade when using a separate streamer dac. Do you feel the same when comparing say a marantz cinema 40 or 30 and this eversolo a 8? Thanks!
Do you have a review for the Classe Delta Stereo and Pre, shown in the video, upcoming or in the near future? Thanks. Great channel
Great Sunday Andrew & Kristi.
Thanks! Appreciate you joining us!
I have been waiting for the NAD M66 to come available. This review has me thinking twice about that now. At half the price this might be my next component purchase. Thanks for the great review!
We requested to review the NAD but I'm not sure if we'll be given the opportunity.
NAD can't play native Apple Music lossless and hi-res lossless. NAD can't rip CDs or store 4TB music locally.
@@mrpmj00 Good info and all the more reason to go with the Eversolo. Thanks!
Hi Andrew. Thanks for the review. I’m trying to decide what speakers to get next for music. What are your thoughts on the focal aria evo x 4 I like the look of them or the dynaudio evoke 50s
Hi Andrew and Kristi, what’s your choice between the DMP-A8 and the Technics SU-GX70 that you have also reviewed? I’m more interested in the pre amp and streaming features on the Technics. Does one dac, streamer and sound win over the other?
Great review,I want one😎
How would you compare
the Eversolo DMP-A8 to
the DMP-A6 Master Edition?
And does the DMP-A6 have
the same CD rip function?
Hello Mr. Robinson. I'm new to this audiophile hobby, I currently have a 5.1 system (Marantz receiver, Triangle Speakers, Martin Logan Sub, U-Turn Orbit vinyl player with built-in phono) a lot of my stuff I bought after watching your videos and now I wanna add a streamer. I like ALL of the EverSolos but if I get any of them should I add a separa amp and not go thorough the Marantz receiver? Any recommendations? Thanks. Love your videos.
I have dmp-a6 XLR to rotel power amp and marantz cinema 70s RCA out to the same rotel ! Almost best of both worlds . Surround experience and stereo performance at one click away ! Great review.
Haha, similar setup here where both AVR and stereo tube preamp are connected to rotel power amplifier.
I have the same. It is a pity that it lacks Home Theatre by pass
Love my A8 I received 2 months ago. Good break in was about 100 hours. Agree with Andrew on his review. Last firmware update did not make it Roon Ready, I emailed with Eversolo customer support and Roon won't get to the A8 for another several weeks. If you use Roon it will only play airplay at AC3 format. I use Tidal connect and the DMP A8 rocks the sound. A8 I2S is compatible with Pontus II 12th Ann edition. This box is incredible value, just buy it.
How can electronics break in? My PC didn't get faster after 100 hours :(
The last firmware update has broken the embedded Tidal player in my A8. Now it struggles to play tracks that have high bitrate because of insufficient buffering even when connected to a gigabit Ethernet. But the Tidal Connect still works fine
Okay so do you think the d8 would be a good pairing with the rotel 1592 m2 or should I just get a d8 and use a power amp?
Hi there with much love to you 2.. for audio quality and music only is there much of a difference between cxn 100 vs a8 ? Thanks a lot and have a good week
Hi Andrew, thank you so mush for your videos, i love them. I have a question about the EverSolo DMP-A8. If i have my music on my Mac, will I need a Dac anyway or just with the DMP it's all right?
the DMP-A8 includes its own DAC. you should be able to use your Mac as a source over USB
Another great review! Can you clarify how you are connecting the A8 to your Apple TV and can you play it through the Sony AVR while still getting its impressive sound benefits?
AppleTV ➡ Sony X90L HDMI ARC/eARC ➡ EverSolo HDMI input. As for the Sony AVR question, you can't connect the Eversolo to the Sony as a preamp, but you could use it as a streamer/DAC into the AVR.
is the sound quality way apart or small, comparing the MiniDSP SHD to DMP A8?
only focussing on the DAC conversion and analog preamp output section.
?
thanks.
Great review, I would love to get your thoughts/comparison of the Hifi Rose 150B ?
More than happy to talk about it if they send one!
Great review,
Nice to see that Classé gear. Very Classy.
You forgot the L. lol
Wow. Sounds like a beast...
I’m debating if I should get this. It looks well built and fully featured but I wonder if they will be able to support it for the long run. Somehow Evesolo reminds me of the OPPO company.
Hi Andrew. Can you make playlists for the internal storage such as CD rips? Also can you play music from a network NAS? It sounds like a pretty great component for the money.
Really like the glasses look! Hope y'all are doing well!
The Cambridge sound quality as being described as “analogue sounding”, is very attractive
Hey Andrew, thanks for yet another great review. I'm also an Apple Music user, and I was wondering with the Apple Music workaround that the A8 uses, does this allow it to playback AM Hi-Res files or not? I was also wondering what differences you saw with the different amps that you paired the Eversolo with. Thanks.
yes
Great presentation Andrew so thanks. Can the preamp be disabled so I can just use it as a streaming dac into an integrated amp I already have? Thanks!!!
Yes. You can set it for fixed output which disables the preamp volume function.
Great review. Imagine this having dirac included for bass management. Since you brought up NAD, what about the 658 and or 399 you reviewed? You classified those as sterile sounding. What is eversolo doing that doesnt make it sound sterile to you? Also, when paired with amps you tried, is sound quality better than the rotel ras5000 you just reviewed and loved?
The Eversolo doesn't have an internal amp, so the character of the amps I have in-house shines through when I use the A8. The NAD gear uses types of Class D (or hybrid amps) that I just don't like --but that's just me and my opinion. When paired with the 8300XP, I get Levinson vibes. When paired with the A35.2 from Primare, it was more reminiscent of my Krell or Rotel amps back in the day.
Did you test the app only on Apple, or also on Android? (Wondering if they are equally full-featured and bug-free.) Thanks!
Hello Andrew, I would like to see a review with Eversolo DMP-A8 with Nakamichi 11.4.6 speakers. Your reviews on both are outstanding. Thanks.
Good review. I think you’ve discovered what many users of the A8 already know and love. It’s on my wish list but it’s a little too pricey for me.
Guess so. I'm a fan of the A8 now for sure!
Edits were so clean in this video
Thanks!
useful video. May I have a question: using apple music app is it possibile to stream Hi res lossless music (24 bit 192 khz?) Thank you for answering. Regards from Italy.
Parametric EQ downsampling. How does it affect the sound quality? Thinking of using it to connect a sub via unbalanced outputs, sending the balanced outputs to a power amplifier.
thanks for all the advice :-)
Looking forward to your take on the Classe pre/stereo power combo. It's funny, but I consider this combo to be something of a high-end bargain because I've consistently preferred them to much pricier gear I've home tested. But I guess you might already be tilting in a somewhat different direction! So long as your opinions are honest (which I believe they are) I don't mind some sacred cows being sacrificed...
This channel goes against every home theater dude sitting in a Valencia lounger movie chair and kaelidescape and JVC projector. That front living room shot is just modern museum quality with that livable and bright surfaces. Someone needs to interview Andrew and Kristi aesthetic and going against the home theater grain. The last good Classé was the Classé SSP-300 Surround-Sound.
Can we correct this? The Apple Music for Android app is side loaded and otherwise works perfect except for the landscape and portrait mode. Not needing Air Play or Bluetooth is precisely what is needed.
Wait until Zidoo and Eversolo comes out with a surround sound processor. Next level.
Great review! I wish your review had come out when they announced the product.
May I ask why? Just curious.
Honestly, I prefer your reviews. I can tell you really test a product, and I appreciate that you have a broader experience when it comes to brands and price points, which makes your reviews more well-rounded, in my opinion. @@robinsonbrand
@@jamesmichael900 Thanks for clarifying. And thanks for the kind comment!
Coffee at the ready once again. Here we go!
Hello Max!
Really proud of this review and am in love with the product!
@@KristiWrightHello there!
Great Review, how about reviewing the Paris Audio A10 hybrid amp. It’s like the McIntosh MA12000 which retails for 15K but priced at $2499.00. Randy the cheap audio man said it brought tears of joy to his eyes. Tube preamp SS amplifier, balanced in/out puts. I really trust your opinion, bought Heresy’s & La Scala’s after watching your videos! Thanks keep up the good work!
I don't know much about Advance Paris' products, but based on what I can see on their website, I can assure you they are definitely NOT like McIntosh in any way, shape, or form aside from both products having meters. I'm sure the Advance Paris products sound great in their own right, but if I had to go out on a limb (and knowing what I know of how OEMs work), I'd hazard a guess and say AP products are likely closer in sound and build to that of an Emotiva amplifier than a McIntosh.
In regards to the HDMI, does it have a 2.1 pass through that allows for PS5 features like 120hz/ VRR etc? Does it stream bit perfect hi res Qobuz services? Thanks & great review
Tune in for our follow up video later in the week, we're going to address a couple of questions having to do with HDMI.
Hi, can you also explore a subwoofer addition you mentioned (DSP settings, HPF/LPF etc), thanks !@@robinsonbrand
I have a question about the XLR inputs. Can you just pass the signal from the XLR inputs to the outputs without any additional A/D conversion?
What is the highest resolution music you can get from the Amazon music and Apple Music apps?
I was of the opinion that you could run Apple Music natively on both the A8 and A6 by downloading the Android version of Apple Music right on to the Eversolos. (Fiio’s similar product can do this as well from what I understand.
As tou have the new Focal aria evo X. Any chance to have a review of it ? I’m also interested of comparision with the focal aria K2s as this was the one originaly planned for my Home cinema / Hifi setup.
I’m also wondering if a K2 vrsion will be presented of hhe Aria evo X !
Love the punch and precision of K2 speakers
Hi Andrew. I currently have NAIM Unity Atom. Is it worth trying to get one of these to try in my home to compare sound or will they be almost the same (assuming all other variables unchanged).
So with my A6, what amp would you match with it? I have an NAD M22 and I'm looking for a meaningful upgrade. Price isn't a big deal but I'd like to get what I'm paying for. Thanks!
hello, good review thanks! how to connect my speakers with analog plugs left and right on the receiver
Any chance you’ll compare this to the hifi rose rs250a?
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Craig! Really appreciate it.
Since this has HDMI OUTPUT will it display on your TV like the Marantz Stereo 70s? Can you see what you’re listening to? Album art etc?
No, please see my pinned comment.
