Very cool! We could be brothers from another mother. Your mtb videos brought me here. I had a 1977 320i when I was in high school. I spent way too much money trying to restore and upgrade it in the late 80’s early 90’s. I did the exact same thing with the A/C. First I upgraded the compressor to a sankyo rotary, upgraded the radiator to 3 cores (engine still ran hot in the summer desert). Finally just pulled the whole system out and ordered a new center console from the dealer. I had the engine rebuilt by an engine house but I pulled it out myself. Always wished I had a sport model with the recaros. I had the 13 inch finned rims if I remember correctly. I did install a 3 spoke sport steering wheel like yours. Doesn’t it have a foam like feel? Mine was red also. Those horse hair cushions were the worst. I had a 4 speed manual. Your car brings back a lot of memories from my youth 30 years ago.
That’s so cool! I’ve had my e21 for about 12 years. I do all the work on it myself. I’ve been cycling just about all my life, MTBing since the late 80’s
I have an '82 323i that hasn't been on the road in 4 years. Rust got to the crossmember that the diff mounts to. I really need to get into it and start fixing all the rust (mostly in the trunk). This is a beautiful car.
Funny story from last year. I’m eating at a local sandwich shop and notice a group of late teenagers sitting at a table all on their phones. One of the girls is wearing a hat with a bmwcca logo on the side. I go up and talk with them. They all owned “classic” bmws from the 80’s. I was just so surprised that these kids would be interested in “classic” BMWs. I personally would love a clean E12 528i. I just love the dash design of the E12 5 series. Very elegant design inside and out.
Prices on these have really gone up. E21’s even more. I’m surprised at the amount of young people that are into them. The vintage BMW’s really have appeal. I love mine 👍
The A/C on these cars were dealer installed and didn’t really work well at all. It adds absolutely nothing to the driving experience. If I need a/c badly enough I just use my modern car.
3:10 are rocker locks, not "valve" locks LOL!

I Also had a 1977 in high school. Lot of memories. Still have it but is not running. Am restoring little by little bringing back the good old times.

The 323 is really rare, hope you get it rolling. The euro bumpers are so much nicer too!

They don't make tanks like this loved the 77 320
Yes, I owned a 77 320i in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
What a beauty!
Thanks!
Wow! How badass a classic. And it's a daily driver? I would keep it in my garage.
I actually sometimes feel bad that I take it on gravel roads after restoring so much of it. It is so much fun though
I Bet. 🤙
Great job...I'm looking to buy coil springs the same height but can't find a supplier can you help?
Your best bet would be H&R springs. I don’t think the Eibach are still available for the e21
Love it! How did you tuck the bumper? Did you drill or pull out the shock absorber?
Yes, drilled the bumper shock and pushed it in
Ooooo sick!
What are the wheels size that you have on
15x6 front, 15x7 rear
you removed the A/C from a daily driver? so confused

Long live E21 !!!😍💋 ❤️💋 ❤️
