Yesterday was the last day for the panthor preorder. I had to pass. I'll have to enjoy it though your channel. Thanks. Oh man panthor is beautiful I'm already regretting now getting it.
Thank you for watching. Well, not to try and tempt you but there is still the flocked limited version coming and a regular release version. I think you'll get a chance again, so don't be tempted buying from secondary.
Thank you for watching. They do pair very well. Very sad day for our wallets but if you have He-man, you need Battlecat. He-man needs a Skeletor and if you have He-man, skeletor and battlecat then you need to get Panthor. It's a trap!!
There seems to be a varnish on the purple fur area of the Panthor heads, but not on the green/yellow fur area of the Battle Cat heads. As a result, the Battle Cat heads tend to pop more, and have more of a 'painted statue' look to them, and the Panthor heads still look very good but not quite as good to me. I wonder if this new gloss/varnish that Mondo are applying to their figures is to decrease paint chipping? I noticed you pointing this out in another review where you compared Deluxe Skeletor's paint to Hordak's paint; it was a semi-gloss vs completely matte finish.
Thank you for watching. Yes, Mondo has changed their paint application after the He-man deluxe. It's a little bit more shinier but it feels less prone to scuffing and paint damage. And Panthor does have a sheen to it's body compared to Battlecat.
@@amusedjester Do you prefer the sheen? I wonder whether the sheen from the varnish is to protect the paint on the hinges, as the He-Man loses all the paint on the hinges of the elbows/knees once you move the arms and legs a bit and all the paint scrapes off. Whereas the Deluxe Skeletor, the paint on the hinges possibly stays there longer and matches the paint on the arms and legs to help hide those joints a bit better? I think they changed the paint at the point when they changed the bases from the old Mondo base to the new cracked earth oval bases, and they removed the magnets from the boxes and replaced with velcro. The first Trap Jaw release does not have a sheen on him and he comes with the old base and box magnets, and he was released after Deluxe H-Man. I think Prince Adam has the old base too, so this change seems to have occurred post-Prince Adam and pre-Deluxe Skeletor, Beastman and Panthor. However I do not have Beastman myself yet so I cannot tell if he has the sheen on him, he does have textured hinges though which looks cool. You mentioned in your Beastman review that he looks much better in person than through the camera, so I am looking forward to a Beastman figure when I finally get him so that I can understand better what you are referring to. 🙂
I missed out on the new deluxe skeletor ver as I thought the older one was great, but the armour versions of him are so well integrated with the panthor. I just don't get why Mondo doesnt do rereleases of their previous figures. I bet there would be the interested in it. When is the deluxe Skeletor ver due to come?
Thank you for watching. I had thought it was shipping November but hopefully it will arrive this year. Do you know the regular version of it is currently available to order?
@@amusedjester I am aware of that, but there are so many interesting add ons to the deluxe one and the price wasnt really that much bigger considering them :(
@@Recommendable that is absolutely true. For just an additional $15 you get so much more in a deluxe version. For myself, I will always try to get the deluxe in the initial offering. The only thing that may affect that judgment is that now Mondo seems to be offering a filmation version in regular form i.e. Trapjaw and Panthor and I don't know how I feel about that and how it will affect my orders.
Thank you for watching. Yeah, I have my Battlecat posed jumping. My Battlecat video had all the articulation moves and was really long and I just wanted to show i this video the differences between the two. I'm still trying to figure a a good length/format to my videos. But thanks for the tip.

Congrats fellow collector on first wave. Patiently waiting to pair with Battle Cat!

@@amusedjester Panthor shipped yesterday. Essentially just collecting the villains however had to have at least Battle Cat and He-Man
@@8474Starscream Yup, lol. i made my list for Mondo. It's a very short list outside of Heman and skeletor. Too expensive.

Lots of heat on the back legs. There’s a short video showing they do spread apart. Hair dryer.
Thank you for watching. Nice tip. I'll try with panthor and search for that video.
