Your videos are honestly so helpful and inspiring, I don’t understand why you aren’t getting 100k views per video! Thanks for all the great work, can really feel like you’re on your own when planning out the steps to getting into medical school as a mature student. I always watch your videos when I need a pick me up or clarification on a certain topic.
Just stumbled across your videos as I research the Access to Medicine courses- your video is helpful, inspiring and full of valuable content- THANK YOU! I'll watch more :) I always wanted to be a doctor but had to leave school very very young- 40 years on it is time for me to return to my education. So looking forward to learning! xxxx
Watching from South Wales! Starting a Bioscience access course this September to apply for Veterinary medicine. Your videos are so helpful and have given me the assurance I need to pursue my ambitions, thank you so much! xx
Oh my God!!! You are wonderful Becs. Thanks for making me understand my journey. Very helpful and I say a big thank you for this video. You are helping people like me. I wish you well and bless you.
You're such a brave person. You'll definitely be a good Doctor, and trust me, non-traditional Doctors tend to be more understanding, patience and compassionate towards their patients.
@@rebeccabradford7611 No, Please, but I'm studying for an Access course in Social Science with Learn Direct, and I'll be finishing in October. I'm a carer, and my interest lies in learning disabilities.
@@Wilzplacehi lovely, please can you advise me. Did you do this course online and how long did it take you? People have really put me off because they are sayings is very very hard even harder than uni and I have two small children and work full time too and think I might not be able to do it.
@@elishaaazee6184 Please I took over a year to do the access course, although you can complete it in nine months. The course material is delivered to the student online and you work at your convenience. Distance learning is a bit challenging however if you plan very well and commit to it you will make it. Please do comprehensive research before you enroll in a distance learning course. Good 👍 Luck.
Im soo happy i stumbled on your channel! I have No A levels and need to self teach / fund my Biology GCSE (which i didnt know either until you shown me these resorces!). Ive now applied to the Access to Medicine in Manchester and i hope, like you, i make it to Medicine. Im 26 years old. Ive done 2 years of an Architecture course so i already feel lucky i got to university, but Medicine IS my dream and i NEVER thought i could until i seen your channel and i was seriously worried about my age. Thank you so much! Love your videos.
@zahid mumand I'm now in university studying medical sciences for 3 years and dping a masters in Physicians associate (i could do medicine after)😀 but yes, an access course can get you in to medicine. I just choose the foundation year instead through university. Good luck!
Thank you Becs, you are amazing 😍😍 This is so so helpful. You’re wonderful 🏅 You are helping people like me who don’t know much about where to start. Once again thank you so much. 🥰🥰🥰
So glad I came across your channel, I love the way you share your experiences so clear and so inspiring! I've just applied for an HE medicine course as a mature student. Medicine always seemed out of reach for me but I'm giving myself a chance!
Brilliant Rebecca - amazing stuff! So helpful in so many ways. I now have three universities that I can apply to thanks so your advice. Thank you so much! No the small matter of a masters and the UCAT to smash and we’re off !! X
Thanks for another great video, Becs. I'm starting my Access to Health in September and am feeling a bit antsy as college haven't given us any info on what we will be studying other than the general subject areas. It has been 23 years since I studied any science so I would like to do a bit of pre-course reading, and I think these GCSE revision/practise books might be perfect. I'm so worried that I won't get the Distinctions that I need for Uni, so it was really kind of you to share the marking structure and an example of your assignment to take some of the mystery out of it. Hope you are enjoying your summer. Xx (PS. your hair looks really good in this video. Is it a new haircut? 🤩 xxx)
Fantastic video, really informative and helpful. Now I understand how the works will be assessed. Hopefully, I get 80 UCAS tariff points to get to Uni. BTW, I do access to computing.
thank you for making this video, I found it very informative. I want to ask if you still need sciences + Maths and English GCSEs when applying for medicine with an access course, especially for University of Bristol.
@@rebeccabradford7611 oh my thank you so much, this was actually helpful. I forgot to ask though, do you need to be out of education for a long time before doing an access course or you can apply directly from college. Right now im doing a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, so can I apply next year for an access course? Thank you!

wonderful information about access to medicine. how was the exams
Hey Rebecca - thank you for the video :)
Just a quick question - does the workload start off substantial or it is more gradual as you go along?
@@rebeccabradford7611 thanks for replying! 🥰
On the access course. 💓
The assignment that you showed here, did you take it away and answer it in an essay/ homework form or was it part of an exam?
To be done at home
Thank you, assumed this once I kept watching ha. We're there no exams to sit at the college or were they all assignments?
