    just want to thank you for the practical tips i've received from you're vids, from deep conditioning to the wet brush. i've been wondering why i could in no way get a comb through my beard. was jealous of the texture of yours. always oiled daily, but no conditioning. just recently started a daily conditioner. i guess i'm a slow learner. got both the brush and comb through my beard today. my goal is a softer beard.

    George...fantastic video's. Started my white beard in Nov of last year and I'm about to the 1st button on my shirt. Like you, I'm looking to get it to the 2nd button by December.
    Have learned a LOT from your video's and my beard is looking better every day. Have been getting a lot of compliments from people in town when they see it for the first time.
    Regards,
    Dennie

    Thank you for all the pointers. I will be honest, I have never heard of beard balm and the care products for beards. This certainly explains why I have so much trouble with breakage and it reaching a certain optimal length. You said you make your balm for the white beard - do you sell it? I am currently in Afghanistan so do you ship to an APO address? I want to had a little more style and not just have the wild look. The most I have done is use a curling iron which turns out to be a bad thing, while it does give it a nice curled under finished edge it is far to harsh in the long run. Thanks for sharing your pointers.

    Quick question, I kinda hope you will answer, doesn't it help to apply oil/balm also on the skin underneath the beard? To make sure your hair folicule and the sebum gland gets some too? Wouldn't it help the growth?

    I love the videos... but let's be clear. Your beard would grow long without you doing anything to it. You have the God given gift of great beard genetics. That being said, all your tips are accurate

    • @ListenMySon
      @ListenMySon  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let me be clear as well. The beard would grow long ...but not take as long. 40 yrs of bearding and sculpting over 12,000 beards in my career. I can say that my little growth hacks are real, as I was an obsessive measurement junkie with and without the hacks. But thanks for commenting. Have a cool day. Peace

    • @spkendrick
      @spkendrick 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh... make no mistake, your advice and "beard hacks" are the truth... the absolute gospel.... I would never and nor did I mean to take anything away from that. All your videos get a thumbs up from me. Rarely do i see people encouraging massaging/stimulating of the hair follicles... which works. combs and static... I don't experience static with plastic combs either... but some people swear by the wood combs. that being said....This is what you do for a living, some of the other guys are simply doing it for fun or for a hobby (myself included)... I just pointed out a fact that probably didn't need pointing out... keep on preaching Rev. Sultan!!!!

    I have a big beard that is straight. I work in a very hot environment all day which makes it frizz terribly, I use oil and balm with some bees wax too, any advice so maybe I don't look like Bill the Cat half way through the day? Love your videos and Don Julio too.

    • @ListenMySon
      @ListenMySon  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      every balm is different. i recommend one that is stiffer. maybe even putting in leave-in conditioner after the shower. OR try mustache wax as a beard balm. Cheers with Don Julio! Peace

      Gray Bailey i think you're missing the point of what I meant. I'm saying that you (personally, and not for the gain of your channel or anything else but yourself) should check his products out and his videos as he has alot of knowledge that you could perhaps gain something from. There are things I've noticed within your videos that he has answers for. I'm just trying to assist you and your beard game, from one bearded man to another. I'm sorry if you somehow read that wrong. Just thought you may have been interested. Cheers.
